- CLIVE Didn’t get into your plan A of nursing at UQ? Your plan B could be to do a year of study in the same course at a university where the entry rank is lower, or do a year of study in a like-course that will help you get into nursing (like science) or do a Diploma of Nursing and upgrade once you’ve finished your qualification. Don’t forget that different unis have different entry ranks for the same courses, and if you do your research you’ll notice the difference. For example – the entry ranks for a Bachelor of Nursing in SEQ area are: ACU – 63 USC - 64 Griffith Nathan and Logan Campuses – 66 USQ Toowoomba – 66 QUT Caboolture – 66 QUT Kelvin Grove – 79 UQ – 88 There is often a lot of variation in entry rank depending on institution – it’s important to know what your options are.
