The world s average temperature is rising every year and is expected to be 5 to 10 degrees higher by the end of the century, which is faster than they have increased in the last ten millennia, according to the National Resource Defense Council s website. But why is this epidemic happening? As the Defense Council states, global warming is caused by carbon dioxide and other types of heat trapping pollution that are collecting like a blanket in the atmosphere, trapping heat from the earth as it tries to radiate back into space. As a result, the planet...show more content...This trend will even be noticeable the next few decades. Ice is disappearing from the Arctic Ocean and Greenland, spring is starting sooner in 200 other countries, and animals are moving to cooler areas (Carey Shapiro, 2004). Ecologist Christopher Field of the Carnegie Institution states, ...Even the most modest warming today is having large effects on ecosystems. The most compelling impact is the 10% decreasing yield of corn in the Midwest per degree of warming, (Carey and Shapiro, 2004).
Moreover, robins, traditional indications of spring, have been showing up earlier and earlier at the Roc

Detailed research on how the recent tropical cyclone season could affect future global warming has been published, and it explains that it is not a matter of if, but a matter of when.
For decades, scientists have had to decide whether emissions of greenhouse gases, especially carbon dioxide (CO2), have been a major factor in climate change. All the while, they have come to realize that the answer is yes. As a result, almost every major scientific institution in the world has declared climate change an urgent need for humanity.
It is a matter of great responsibility and urgency, considering the potentially dangerous and dangerous effects climate change can have on people and the environment, especially for people living in extremely hot parts of the world. In some places daytime temperatures are estimated to rise by seven degrees Fahrenheit. In the United States alone, over half a million people die each year from heat-related illnesses.
This presents a serious problem, and one of the key issues is how to respond to climate change and a changed environment. How can people be provided with the necessary resources to prevent heat-related diseases and deaths?

Climate change, additionally called an Earth-wide temperature boost, alludes to the ascent in normal surface temperatures on Earth. A staggering logical accord keeps up that environmental change is expected essentially to the human utilization of fossil fills, which discharges carbon dioxide and other nursery gasses into the air. The gasses trap warm inside the climate, which can have a scope of consequences for biological communities, including rising ocean levels, extreme climate occasions, and dry seasons that render scenes more vulnerable to rapidly spreading fires. Climate change is statistical data of weather for a given period of time. As all living beings interact with environment, the weather plays a vital role is development and sustainability of all living beings. Climate change is a phenomenon that is going to occur even if humans didn't exist on this planet, we for the sake of development have accelerated the climate change.

Global Warming
In this paper I will discuss whether or not global warming is actually happening or
not. A lot of people say that it is not and some people that it is. I will state my
opinion, with some references. I will use the book and also the Internet for my
references. Global warming is the rise in the average temperature of Earth’s
atmosphere and oceans. I think that the definition says it all.
In my opinion I think that global warming happens because of how the weather was
last year, how we hardly got any snow and Europe and the other side of the country
got feet of snow. The book says that between 1906-2005 the average temperatures
increased by .74 degrees. I think that this is true since Utah and in the North
American states, have been really different.
It was because of global warming that last year we didn’t have a lot of snow or
precipation. The other side of the country got a lot more snow than the United
States. The climates are getter warmer as per the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report.
The report states with increased temperatures the risk of species extinction will
increase.
The icebergs are melting. The book says that the ice caps and glaciers have
decreased in both hemispheres. I think that global warming is happening because of
how the world is today. Whenever The Weather Channel says that we are supposed
to get a lot of precipation, the other side of the country gets it.
2. The arctic temperatures have been increasing the last 100 years that is twice the
global rate. The temperatures are getting warmer. Even right now in the United
States, the temperatures are warmer we should be colder now and we are warmer.
The temperatures in Utah are above average right now; we are about 5-10 degrees
warmer than we should be at this time in the year. This trend will stop this week in
Utah since we will be in the 40’s and 50’s this week, with a couple of days with
precipation. Global warming is happening everywhere you go, that is why they call
it global warming, because the earth is getting warmer.
In conclusion, Global warming is happening, whether we like it or not. There is a lot
of evidence for this. The temperatures are getting warmer. I think that if this goes
on which I think it will, the chance of the earth drying up will happen. I hope that
that will not happen, so that the animal will not be extinct like the dinosaurs are.
