Product Design Trends in 2024 | Teenage EngineeringsPixeldarts
The realm of product design is a constantly changing environment where technology and style intersect. Every year introduces fresh challenges and exciting trends that mold the future of this captivating art form. In this piece, we delve into the significant trends set to influence the look and functionality of product design in the year 2024.
How Race, Age and Gender Shape Attitudes Towards Mental HealthThinkNow
Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).
AI Trends in Creative Operations 2024 by Artwork Flow.pdfmarketingartwork
Creative operations teams expect increased AI use in 2024. Currently, over half of tasks are not AI-enabled, but this is expected to decrease in the coming year. ChatGPT is the most popular AI tool currently. Business leaders are more actively exploring AI benefits than individual contributors. Most respondents do not believe AI will impact workforce size in 2024. However, some inhibitions still exist around AI accuracy and lack of understanding. Creatives primarily want to use AI to save time on mundane tasks and boost productivity.
Organizational culture includes values, norms, systems, symbols, language, assumptions, beliefs, and habits that influence employee behaviors and how people interpret those behaviors. It is important because culture can help or hinder a company's success. Some key aspects of Netflix's culture that help it achieve results include hiring smartly so every position has stars, focusing on attitude over just aptitude, and having a strict policy against peacocks, whiners, and jerks.

Google's Just Not That Into You: Understanding Core Updates & Search IntentLily Ray
1. Core updates from Google periodically change how its algorithms assess and rank websites and pages. This can impact rankings through shifts in user intent, site quality issues being caught up to, world events influencing queries, and overhauls to search like the E-A-T framework.
2. There are many possible user intents beyond just transactional, navigational and informational. Identifying intent shifts is important during core updates. Sites may need to optimize for new intents through different content types and sections.
3. Responding effectively to core updates requires analyzing "before and after" data to understand changes, identifying new intents or page types, and ensuring content matches appropriate intents across video, images, knowledge graphs and more.

Rep ü lõgépek, óceánok, A füvek a fák a mezõk a virágok, A különös álmok, amiket látok, Ha egyszer éjjel hiába vártok. 4. Fool ’s Garden – Lemon Tree I'm sitting here in the boring room, It's just another rainy Sunday afternoon. I'm wasting my time, I got nothing to do. I'm hanging around, I'm waiting for you, But nothing ever happens, And I wonder. I'm driving around in my car, I'm driving too fast, I'm driving too far. I'd like to change my point of view, I feel so lonely, I'm waiting for you, But nothing ever happens, And I wonder. I'm sitting here, I miss the power. I'd like to go out taking a shower. But there's a heavy cloud inside my head, I feel so tired, put myself into bed, Well, nothing ever happens, And I wonder. Isolation is not good for me. Isolation, I don't want to sit on the lemon tree. I'm steppin' around in the desert of joy. Baby anyhow I'll get another toy And everything will happen, And you wonder. I wonder how, I wonder why. Yesterday you told me 'bout the blue, blue sky And all that I can see Is just a yellow lemon tree. I'm turning my head up and down, I'm turning-turning-turning-turning-turning around And all that I can see Is just another lemon tree. And I wonder, I wonder. I wonder how, I wonder why. 5.
Azok a boldog, szép napok, Ég veled! Te nem tudod, Milyen jó nélküled. Azok a boldog, szép napok, Ég veled! A legszebb pillanat, amikor búcsúzunk És a vonatra felszállsz. Könnyes szemmel arra gondolok, Hogy nehogy lemaradjál. Azok a boldog, szép napok, Ég veled! Te nem tudod, Milyen jó nélküled. Azok a boldog, szép napok, Ég veled! Te nem tudod, Milyen jó nélküled.
7. Ment a hűtlen nehéz fejjel. Minden hajnal övé marad, Látja szállni a madarakat. Nézte-nézte a messzeséget. Sárga lámpák jelzik útját, Otthon hagyta minden múltját. Ment a hűtlen nehéz fejjel. Tudja jól, hogy ő már nem kell. "Ég veletek," mást nem mondott, Szeme túlragyogott minden csillagot. Minden hajnal övé marad, Látja szállni a madarakat. E dda – A h űtlen
8. Well, you done done me and you bet I felt it, I tried to be chill but you’re so hot that I melted, I fell right through the cracks, now I'm tryin to get back. Before the cool done run out I'll be givin it my bestest, And nothin's gonna stop me but divine intervention, I reckon it's again my turn to win some or learn some. But I won't hesitate no more, No more, it cannot wait, I'm yours. Well open up your mind and see like me, Open up your plans and then you're free, Look into your heart and you'll find love, love, love, love. Listen to the music at the moment people dance and sing, We’re just one big family And it's our God-forsaken right To be loved, loved, loved, loved, loved. So, I won't hesitate no more, No more, it cannot wait I'm sure. There's no need to complicate, our time is short. This is our fate, I'm yours. Jason Mraz – I ’m Yours
10. I've heard there was a secret chord, That David played, and it pleased the Lord, But you don't really care for music, do you? It goes like thi, the fourth, the fifth, The minor fall, the major lift, The baffled king composing Hallelujah. Hallelujah, Hallelujah. Hallelujah, Hallelujah. Your faith was strong but you needed proof, You saw her bathing on the roof, Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you. She tied you to a kitchen chair, She broke your throne and she cut your hair, And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah. Hallelujah, Hallelujah. Hallelujah, Hallelujah. Baby I h’ve been here before, I know this room, I've walked this floor, I used to live alone before I knew you. I've seen your flag on the Marble Arch, Love is not a victory march, It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah. Hallelujah, Hallelujah. Hallelujah, Hallelujah. Maybe there’s a God above, But all I’ve ever learned from love Was how to shoot at someone who outdrew you. It’s not a cry you can hear at night, It’s not somebody who has seen the light, It’s a cold and it’s a broken Hallelujah. Hallelujah, Hallelujah. Hallelujah, Hallelujah. I did my best, it wasn't much, I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch, I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool you. And even though it all went wrong, I'll stand before the Lord of Song, With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah. Hallelujah, Hallelujah. Hallelujah, Hallelujah. Leonard Cohen - Hallelujah
11. There's a calm surrender To the rush of day, When the heat of the rolling world Can be turned away. An enchanted moment, And it sees me through. It's enough for this restless warrior Just to be with you. And can you feel the love tonight? It is where we are. It's enough for this wide-eyed wanderer That we got this far. And can you feel the love tonight? How it's laid to rest? It's enough to make kings and vagabonds, Believe the very best. There's a time for everyone If they only learn That the twisting kaleidoscope Moves us all in turn. There's a rhyme and reason To the wild outdoors. When the heart of this star-crossed voyager Beats in time with yours. And can you feel the love tonight? It is where we are. It's enough for this wide-eyed wanderer That we got this far. And can you feel the love tonight? How it's laid to rest? It's enough to make kings and vagabonds Believe the very best. It's enough to make kings and vagabonds Believe the very best. Elton John – Can You Feel the Love Tonight?
12. Edda - Elhagyom a várost Magányosan állok egy sötét udvaron, Egy régi, ócska lámpa csendesen lobog. Sorra kidőlt padok közt lépkedek, Kevés a hely, ahová léphetek. Igen, holnap, holnap indulok. Talán csak megszokásból indultam tovább. Mereven bámultam a házak ablakát. A sárga hold álmosan figyel. Tudom, hogy nem felejtem, mennyit jártam itt. Tudom, hogy nem felejted, mennyit vártam itt. Egyszer egy szép napon, tudom, Hogy elhagyom a várost, ahol élek. Mindent itthagyok, mit Miskolc adhatott. Igen, holnap, holnap indulok. Egyszer egy szép napon, tudom, Hogy elhagyom a várost, ahol élek. Mindent itthagyok, mit Miskolc adhatott. Igen, holnap, holnap indulok. (I gen, elhagyom a várost,) ( Elhagyom, ha nem fogad magába.) (Erről szólt a dal: Edda-blues.)
13. I thought love was only true in fairy tales. Meant for someone else but not for me. Love was out to get me. That's the way it seemed. Disappointment haunted all my dreams. I thought love was more or less a given thing. Seems the more I gave, the less I got. What's the use in tryin'? All you get is pain. When I needed sunshine, I got rain. Love was out to get me. That's the way it seemed. Disappointment haunted all my dreams. Then I saw her face, n ow I'm a believer! Not a trace o f doubt in my mind. I'm in love, I'm a believer, I couldn't leave her if I tried. Then I saw her face, n ow I'm a believer! Not a trace o f doubt in my mind. I'm in love, I'm a believer, I couldn't leave her if I tried. Then I saw her face, n ow I'm a believer! Not a trace o f doubt in my mind. Yeah I'm a believer, I'm a believer. The Monkees – I’m a Believer
15. Kiszívott nyakkal jött haza, De nem jött igazán zavarba. Belehazudott a szembembe, Kinyílt a bicska a zsebemben. Megüssem vagy ne üssem, Azon tűnődtem. Egy nagy pofon Nem old meg semmit sem. Statiszta voltam melletted, A gyűjteményedbe kellettem.
S a hidegre való tekintettel Énekelni kezdett. Minél inkább havazik, annál inkább hull a hó. Minél inkább hull a hó, annál inkább havazik. Minél inkább havazik, annál inkább hull a hó. Minél inkább hull a hó, annál inkább havazik. Hull a hó és hózik, Micimackó fázik. Hull a hó és hózik, Micimackó fázik. Koncz Zsuzsa – Micimack ó

21. Would you know my name, If I saw you in Heaven? Would it be the same, If I saw you in Heaven? I must be strong and carry on, ‘Cause I know I don't belong H ere in Heaven. Would you hold my hand, If I saw you in Heaven? Would you help me stand, If I saw you in Heaven? I'll find my way through night and day, ‘Cause I know I just can't stay Here in Heaven. Time can bring you down, Time can bend your knees Time can break your heart, Have you begging please, begging please. Beyond the door there's peace I'm sure, And I know there'll be no more Tears in Heaven. Would you know my name, If I saw you in Heaven? Would it be the same, If I saw you in Heaven? 23. A lányokkal jól megvagyunk, A konyhában rájuk hagyunk mindent. 24. Hé, te, aki az utcán újságot árulsz És ötkor kelsz, zötyögsz a villamoson, Éjjel tanulsz és fáj a szemed, S a fáradtságtól a könnyed kicsordul, Adj egy percet nekem az életedből! Hé, te, aki nappal dolgodat végzed, Géped vezeted s hajtod magad, S embert gyógyítasz s gyermeket tanítsz , S este fáradtan várod az álmodat, Te is adj egy percet az életedből! Vártam rá, hogy elmondjam, Hogy elénekeljem, hogy tudd, hogy érezd, Hogy elhidd nekem, hogy neked szól a gitár, Neked zörög a dob, neked gyúlnak a fények És csak neked írom a dalt, neked énekelek, Neked írom a dalt, neked énekelek, ó h. Asszony, te, aki életet adtál kezembe, Hogy neked is írjon egy dalt, Most ülj le szépen, tedd öledbe kezed, És h unyd le a szemed és csendben figyelj rám, Még egy percet kérek az életedből! Vártam rá, hogy elmondjam, Hogy elénekeljem, hogy tudd, hogy érezd, Hogy elhidd nekem, hogy neked szól a gitár , Neked zörög a dob, neked gyúlnak a fények És csak neked írom a dalt, neked énekelek, Neked írom a dalt, neked énekelek, Neked írom a dalt, neked énekelek, Neked írom a dalt, neked énekelek . 25. Dús hajába tép a szél, Kék szemében ott a szenvedély, Foltos sokszín ruhája oly sokszor elszakadt, Á lma adja az álmokat. Olasz csizmáján a nap, Remélem mindörökre megmarad.
