2. Gilda has won thirty two national and international awards for her work in oil,
acrylics, mixed media and photography.
In 2013 she was awarded the Latin American Achievement Awards in Visual Arts.
In 2005 she won the first prize of the competition ‘’Imagine Don Quixote’’ and she was awarded
a trip to visit “La Mancha”, Spain.
Gilda has received three awards from the government of Canada and the government of
Mexico for her voluntary work and her art donations in more than 52 fundraising campaigns to
help people, organizations and countries in need.
She has participated in over 155 solo and group art exhibitions in Canada, Japan,
Korea, Mexico, the United States and the Netherlands. Her paintings are found in many
private, public and corporate collections in Canada, Mexico, Chile, Malaysia, France, Poland,
El Salvador, Peru, Israel, Venezuela, Argentina, The Netherlands, Guatemala and the
U.S.A.
