Role: Worked as a Security Consultant to coordinate the Safety and Security of UN International and National
staff and Agencies Offices and assist in drawing up plans to facilitate the evacuation of UN International
staff with the possibility of relocation of National staff in case of civil war erupting in Aden governorate
and the surrounding governorates.The situation in Aden and the surrounding areas was very tense and
volatile as a result of the deterioration in the political and military talks taking place between the
government and rebel groups. The end result was a successfulevacuation of all UN International staff and
the relocation of National staff to safe areas.
15 May 2014 – August 2014 Security Coordinating Officer for the Office of the Special Advisor to the Secretary
General of the United Nations.
Role: Coordinate all Security related issues to the safety and security of SASG and his movements while present
in the Yemen, insure and implement security measures as to the safety of all staff and office.
04 Feb – 03 May 2014 Security Consultant – Hostage Incident Management Cell (HIM)
Role: Assist in the establishment of a Hostage Incident Management Cell and coordinate its work in the wake of a
kidnapping incident of a UNICF International staff. The establishment of the cell culminated in the safe
release of the member of staff.

Role: Work as a primary security associate to the Central region – Yemen and cover as FSCO a.i, when needed;
responsible for assisting,developing and updating the country specific security plans.

relating to current Security Situation, Threats levels from Terror groups or armed tribal elements & movements

• Assist in updating and running security briefing sessions fornew staff and security personalaffiliated to the UN
agencies in Yemen.
• Deal with threats to UN agencies and staff, evaluate risk assessment and work out plans to improve safety and
reduce threats.
• Liaises and coordinate with Host Government security organizations; with mid and high level police,
intelligence & Security Officials and work closely with such officials to facilitate any security problems that
may arise to insure complete security coverage for all UN organizations, International & national staff and
