This document provides the price list for isotope analysis services from the G.G. Hatch Stable Isotope Laboratory at the University of Ottawa. It lists pricing for the analysis of organic solids, liquids, and gases, as well as inorganic solids and waters. Pricing is provided for common isotopes like carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen and sulfur in various forms. The price list also provides rates for use of preparation equipment and notes policies around turnaround times, rush rates, quality control, and customs procedures.

Left-over sample material will be retained for 6 months after completion.
Turn around time is usually better than 3 months. Large batches may take longer.
Priority is given to internal projects when possible; however, this is not a "rush" equivalent.
Priority is also given to all 4th year thesis projects due to the limited time constraints.
Discount of $5 per sample applies if researcher/student does the prep (except for Aurora).
"Rush" rate: 1-29 samples = triple the regular rate.
"Rush" rate: 30+ samples = double the regular rate.
The Lab reserves the right to adjust the "rush" rates as needed.
10% quality control duplicates (QCD) are included at no charge.
Additional duplicates/replicates are recommended for homogeneity and statistical
information.

Invoices are generally issued once the analyses are complete.
Pre-billing is in effect for customers outside North America.
Special budget deadlines can be accomodated; contact Patricia.
Contracts: an administration fee of $50 will be added to the invoice.
Customers outside Canada: PLEASE declare a nomimal value for your samples ($5): they
have no commercial value.
PLEASE FILL OUT THE CANADA CUSTOMS INVOICE and include it with your shipment.
Extra duty or shipping charges will be added to the Hatch Lab invoice.
SAMPLES AND CONTAINERS WILL NOT BE RETURNED. An exception may be possible
with prior arrangement (e.g. extremely precious material).
