of her job application. Xiuting was a student in my MANA 6A32 class during
Fall Semester, 2016. From her written assignments and conversations with
her, I have come to know Xiuting well. She performed well in my class,
earning a B.
Xiuting is a mature, bright and highly motivated student. She is tri-lingual,
speaking English, Japanese, and Chinese. After arriving in the U.S., she has
immersed herself in our culture, eagerly seeking out experiences ranging from
football games to professional events. I am very impressed by her ability to
identify areas for professional development and designing and executing
experiences to accomplish them. Xiuting organized a team which competed
in the National PepsiCo Case Competition demonstrating her leadership skills
(the team placed 3rd). She brings excellent skills for interacting with people
from a wide variety of backgrounds. The University of Houston is one of the
most diverse campuses in the country.
