Women have historically faced gender stereotypes that limited their roles, but their contributions expanded greatly in the 20th century. During World War 2, women filled many jobs left empty by deployed men such as mechanics, engineers, and factory workers. Today, women continue breaking barriers in careers, politics, and sports, though stereotypes still exist as seen in common portrayals of women in certain jobs like nursing but not plumbing. The documentary also includes a video clip showing women advancing in sports.
