This document presents information on the Shark pattern, a distinct harmonic pattern identified by Harmonic Trader. It consists of two independent price segments - a failed harmonic impulse wave followed by an extreme harmonic impulse wave. It has a defined profit target based on the 88.6% retracement and 113% reciprocal ratio. The Shark pattern requires active management as it represents a temporary extreme that seeks to capitalize on an extended wave. Examples of bullish and bearish Shark patterns are shown on currency pairs and stocks.
The document summarizes a backtest of two money management strategies on the EURUSD 4H timeframe from 2010-2011. Strategy 1 used linear money management and achieved a 119.82% gain. Strategy 2 used compounding money management and achieved a higher gain of 311.56%. Both strategies had a maximum pip drawdown of 247 and win percentages of 81.97% including breakeven trades and 63.11% excluding breakeven trades.
The document discusses harmonic patterns in financial markets. It notes that harmonic patterns follow an AB=CD structure where price highs and lows align in a specific way, with the most common patterns corresponding to Fibonacci ratios. It also states that the AB=CD structure provides both price and time symmetry, which are important variables in markets. The document goes on to outline a five phase process for pattern recognition, trade execution, management, review and discipline for successful trading.
The document discusses managing drawdowns in trading. It advises that once a trade is placed within the predefined risk zone, price action will either reverse, go sideways, or break through support/resistance. If structure is broken, it is best to close for breakeven if possible or recognize the increased likelihood of further movement in that direction. Following the rules and not being perplexed by fear of loss is important to retain a flexible mindset. There are many patterns in markets each day, so do not worry about any single trade outcome. The document promotes a trading website to learn more trading strategies.
The document summarizes the results of backtesting two money management strategies - linear and compounding money management - on EURUSD trades from 2010-2011 using a 4-hour timeframe. However, the compounding money management strategy achieved a higher percentage gain of 311.56% compared to 119.82% for the linear strategy. Contact details are provided to obtain more details on the backtest results.
The document discusses the crab pattern trading strategy in 5 phases: pattern recognition, trade execution, trade management, discipline, and review. It emphasizes observing correlations across markets to increase the likelihood of successful reversals, using leading indicators like Fibonacci to measure past and future waves, having a plan for every market condition, and the importance of patience and discipline in professional trading. It promotes joining a trading website to learn more about these strategies.

Vicinity Jobs’ data includes more than three million 2023 OJPs and thousands of skills. Most skills appear in less than 0.02% of job postings, so most postings rely on a small subset of commonly used terms, like teamwork.
Laura Adkins-Hackett, Economist, LMIC, and Sukriti Trehan, Data Scientist, LMIC, presented their research exploring trends in the skills listed in OJPs to develop a deeper understanding of in-demand skills. This research project uses pointwise mutual information and other methods to extract more information about common skills from the relationships between skills, occupations and regions.

"Does Foreign Direct Investment Negatively Affect Preservation of Culture in the Global South? Case Studies in Thailand and Cambodia."
Do elements of globalization, such as Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), negatively affect the ability of countries in the Global South to preserve their culture? This research aims to answer this question by employing a cross-sectional comparative case study analysis utilizing methods of difference. Thailand and Cambodia are compared as they are in the same region and have a similar culture. The metric of difference between Thailand and Cambodia is their ability to preserve their culture. This ability is operationalized by their respective attitudes towards FDI; Thailand imposes stringent regulations and limitations on FDI while Cambodia does not hesitate to accept most FDI and imposes fewer limitations. The evidence from this study suggests that FDI from globally influential countries with high gross domestic products (GDPs) (e.g. China, U.S.) challenges the ability of countries with lower GDPs (e.g. Cambodia) to protect their culture. Furthermore, the ability, or lack thereof, of the receiving countries to protect their culture is amplified by the existence and implementation of restrictive FDI policies imposed by their governments.
My study abroad in Bali, Indonesia, inspired this research topic as I noticed how globalization is changing the culture of its people. I learned their language and way of life which helped me understand the beauty and importance of cultural preservation. I believe we could all benefit from learning new perspectives as they could help us ideate solutions to contemporary issues and empathize with others.
