Gantt
A gantt chart is a horizontal bar chart. A
gantt chart provides a graphical
illustration of a schedule that helps to
plan, coordinate, and track specific tasks
in a project.
Gantt charts are usefull tools for
analyzing and planning more complex
projects. They:
Help you to plan out the tasks that
need to be completed,
Give you basis for scheduling when
these tasks will be carried out,
Allow you to plan the allocation of
resources,
Help you to work out the critical
path for a project where you must
complete it by particular date.
Critical Path: the sequence of activities
that must be completed on schedule for
the entire project. If an activity on the
critical path is delayed by one day, then
entire project will be delayed by one
day.
