Mongolian and Japanese national sports include wrestling and sumo. Mongolian wrestling has different titles awarded based on the number of rounds won, from "nachin" for 5 rounds to "awarga" for 10 rounds. Archery is also an important part of Mongolian culture with heavier arrows used today than in the past. In Japanese sumo, the highest rank is yokozuna which was first achieved by Mongolian wrestler Asashoryu Dagvadorj. Sumo wrestling takes place on a clay ring and wrestlers wear only a belt. Six official tournaments are held each year in different cities.
