Teachers filled out a data sheet in the curriculum guide, which was analyzed using an Excel spreadsheet to identify trends. Recommendations for modifying instruction were based on data from summative assessments in force, motion, and energy. A similar approach was used to adjust questions on the astronomy assessment during marking period 3.

1. Teachers were asked to complete a data sheet in the curriculum guide and return it to me. I created an Excel
spreadsheet that enabled me to analyze the data for trends. Based on data from the Force, Motion and
Energy summative assessment, I was able to post recommendations for modifying instruction. This same
process guided me in modifying questions on the Astronomy summative assessment in marking period 3.
