The Houston Airport System landscape team recently upgraded landscaping at George Bush Intercontinental Airport to enhance the passenger experience. This included adding new flower beds along roads approaching the terminals and at the international arrivals entrance. The team chose flowers, shrubs, and grass that would catch the eyes of drivers and busy travelers. Maintaining over one million square feet of airport grounds is challenging given Houston's weather and ongoing construction, but the landscape team aims to create a welcoming atmosphere for passengers.
