The Florida Historic Capitol provides tours of the historic government building located at 400 South Monroe Street in Tallahassee, Florida. Tours are available Monday through Saturday and provide visitors an opportunity to learn about the architecture and history of the building, including spaces like the Governor's Suite and exhibits highlighting Florida's history from prehistoric times through the civil rights era. The renovated capitol includes the 1902 governor office and chamber of House of Representatives, Senate and Supreme Court, also many other exhibit's like the civil rights movement.

• This is the Reception Room to the Governor's
Suite
• In 1902, this suite of four rooms consisted of a
staff office, a reception room, the cabinet
meeting room and the governors' private
office.

-Artifacts representing Florida's historical periods
include prehistoric arrowheads, Native American
pottery and an authentic carpet bag.

-Florida was the setting of important civil rights

a role in Florida's struggle.
