We hope you enjoy this Yuletide news letter and that some of the updates and information con-
tained is of interest.
May we all wish you a Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year.
2014, our fourth year of trading, has continued to see Floodline evolve its businesses to now be
an established developer in its field as well as producing better than expected results from our
consultancy business with many of these projects now moving through planning and into the
building phase. We have some really fantastic clients and continue to attract new ones, all
through referrals so we must be doing something right!
We are also in the exciting position of moving forward with our building programme for next
year and will have further announcements in this regard in the New Year.
2015 promises to be an exciting and prosperous year.
SO WHAT’S HAPPENING

December 2014
Floodline Consulting
A year has now passed since we created Floodline Consulting, a specialist company that offers Flood
and Water Quality Modelling, Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies and Infrastructure Design
for new developments. Many of our concept projects are now moving forward through planning and
into build-out, a notable step forward. Although our specialism is in and around water, our projects
are wide ranging from flood protection projects to several schools including new car parks and road
layouts, waste to energy facilities, major residential development of over 400 homes as well as
dedicated Flood Risk Assessment studies for residential and commercial developments to support
planning applications and approval from the EA. We are very pleased to confirm that this growth in
the consulting business means we are now listed within the top 250 consulting engineering
companies in the UK. Our quality of advice, cost effective and practical approach certainly seems to
have hit a cord with our clients who continue to offer new projects. We expect to make further
announcements with regard to the expansion of the consulting business early in the New Year.

CHRISTMAS

Floodline's flagship project is now progressing
at pace. Our proposals to take approximately 1
million cubic meters of floodwater out of the
River Kennet system has attracted widespread
news coverage including newspaper articles,
BBC radio and television. The substantial
benefits to the local and wider community, our
proposals to include 30 Can-Float homes, has
certainly caught the public imagination. We are
now preparing our planning application which
will be submitted in the New Year. Exciting
times indeed.
New Can-Float Homes
A very exciting development during 2014 has been
the adoption of Floodline's Can-Float buildings.
From initial concept through to detail design using
modern methods of construction, a modular frame
superstructure down to the substructure design.
We have developed a building that is attractive,
class leading, practical, energy efficient and with
exceptional performance. All our buildings offer
suitable insurance and mortgage products. 2015
promises to be an exciting year as we move into
the realm of building these new class of homes in
the UK.

Education
We continue to offer lecturing and seminar services and have recently conducted a series of events focusing on
how the private sector might work with public bodies including the Environment Agency, to provide off-line flood
storage solutions which brings substantial benefit to local communities and wider catchment areas as well new
opportunities to release land for development. We have been encouraged with the level of interest that we have
received and have even made representation at the highest level of the Environment Agency and both Houses of
Parliament.
