DRINKING WATER:
MYTH & FACTS
www.wateronclick.com
Myth 1: 8 Glasses Of Water A Day
Fact 1:
As we get the needed water in other
beverages too, it is not necessary to
have 8 glasses of water/day! We
vary in height, weight & age so
does the water we drink.
Myth 2: Rain Water Is Safe To Drink
Fact 2:
Most of the worlds drinking water
comes from rain. But drinking the
Rain water directly is unsafe, as it
goes through some much dust &
pollution before it reaches a container.
Its only safe when boiled, filtered &
then consumed.
Myth 3: Sports Drink Not Water For Athletic
Performance
Fact 3:
Sports drinks may have fancier ad
campaigns, but water is really all you
need to get the fluids necessary to
participate in most athletic endeavors.
Though athletes use sports drinks too
offset the salt they lose due to heavy
sweating, this doesn’t apply to the
regular gym goers.
Myth 4:Drinking Cold Water After Food Is Not
Cancerous
Fact 4:
Cold water after a hot meal, solidifies
the oily stuff & slows digestion. This
sludge reacts with the acid & will line
the intestine. This turns into fats and
may lead to cancer too. Its best to
stick to warm water or hot soup
during a meal
