1. Today we finished building our longhouse! It was great to be able to see
my new home all done. Our clan is made up of fifty seven people so it is going to
be a little tight but we can manage. Our vegetables are growing really well and
the men are finding a good variety of meat to hunt. I love taking care of the
things we grow, I am in charge actually! I decide when the vegetables are ready
to be eaten and they need to be watered etc.Seeing I am fourteen I have to try
looking for a husband and start my own family. My mother has arranged for me
to meet one the men who also lives in our long house. He seems nice and I think
he might make a good husband and father for my future children.
