Some rural regions face worker shortages while others have become bedroom communities for large cities. Government support for rural and northern economies is changing as these communities struggle to shape their future. Laurentian University is hosting an evening presentation on March 21, 2013 with keynote speaker Robert Greenwood. Rob will provide insights on challenges facing rural and northern communities from his experience in economic development in Newfoundland and Labrador and Saskatchewan. He helped establish Memorial University's Leslie Harris Centre of Regional Policy and Development, where he serves as Founding Director.
