Work History:
Jefferson Fire District Resident Volunteer September 2012 – Present
 Providing a level of care that exceeds what is necessary to protect and serve a community. Perform
tasks that include dealing with people in stressful environments, maintaining composure during
potentially dangerous situations, taking orders from my superiors and following them, being part
of a teamwork based working environment to help achieve whatever goalpresented, and following
standards and protocols that ensure my safety my partners safety and the safety of my community.
Big Bear Logging and Fire Suppression Summer 2013 – September2014
 Served on a Wildland Firefighting Engine Crew.
 Performed duties such as regular daily rig checks and preparation for each 12-16 hour shift.
 Became proficient in organizing and establishing progressive hose lays, mop-up operations,
gridding, recognizing and identifying any safety hazards during both night and day shifts,
management of people and teams during the 14 day tours, and initial attack fire suppression.
River Rafting Guide Spring and Summer 2010 - Present
 Taking responsibility for up to 7 inexperienced rafters in one boat and ensuring their safety by
following proper safety protocols.
 Going through the necessary training in order to ensure the safety of myself and those in my raft.
 4 seasons as a River guide.
 Has approximately 400 miles experience on the river and approximately and 150 miles in training
experience on the river
Jefferson Rural Fire District Part Time Laborer September 2013 – January 2014
 Assisting the Training/ Maintenance Officer with the duties of maintaining the three stations, the
apparatus, and the equipment that make up Jefferson Fire District. This includes, but is not limited
to scheduled rig check-ups, replacing equipment on rigs and at stations, lawn maintenance,
painting, flooring, and roofing.
Polk County Fire District Volunteer September 2011 – September 2012
 Volunteered over 400 hours, riding with the Medic and other Apparatus.
 Perform tasks that included dealing with people in a stressful environment, caring for people
during transport to hospitals, and following standards and protocols that ensure my safety and
those around me.
