Andreas is a history and archaeology graduate who has an idea for a nonprofit mobile platform to bring together Cypriot youth from both communities to share knowledge about cultural heritage. However, Andreas lacks the knowledge and resources to find the right team of developers, marketers, and others to implement his idea. Findaproject.eu aims to match people with project ideas to potential team members with relevant skills to help ideas become reality. It uses algorithms to match profiles on skills and interests and integrates with LinkedIn. The initial team includes Demetris who focuses on backend development, Athanasios on frontend development, and Pavlos who provides financial expertise.

Matchmaking Algorithms (one of our key assets!)
• We match projects to seeker skills based on attributed multi-graph
clustering techniques which are constantly enriched by learning seeker
likes and dislikes!
• We use the same algorithm but in reverse to match candidate seekers to
projects which is also enriched with your feedback based on candidates
you find interesting and want to see more!

We will also use Twitter and Facebook to determine not only based on
skills but also on day-to-day interaction and habits if a seeker can blend
in while assembling a project team!

Demetris is a Computer Science PhD Candidate at the University of Cyprus. He additionally holds a Computer
Science MSc from the University of Cyprus and a Dipl-Ing in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National
Technical University of Athens (NTUA). Demetris lives, breaths and thinks in the “cloud” and is always open for a
challenge to tweak the performance and scalability of distributed systems and apps. He is the person behind the
JCatascopia monitoring system and is also a member of the Cloud Application Management Framework which is
now an official Eclipse IDE project.
Athanasios has studied Information Technology and he has a Master in Computer Science. He specializes in
Software Engineering and Web 2.0 applications development. His work on Cloud Computing concepts involves
creating applications and innovative Cloud Analytics services. Apart from programming Athanasios has experience
in administrating and maintaining Cloud Infrastructures running Openstack.
Pavlos is an ACCA Candidate at the European University of Cyprus. He additional holds a Bachelor on Accounting
from the European University of Cyprus. Pavlos is working for 6 years in the Cyprus business area and knows from
first hand how hard is to maintain a profitable business. Although he tried again to open his own business, he
doesn't give up and he is trying with his best to enter the business world as an entrepreneur.
