Ceramics
-Knowledge about processes of kiln firing, glazes, different type of wares, history of
ceramics, raku firing. The different wares that can be used for utility was also a focus in
my ceramic education.
Drawing
-Processes of perceptive, forms (pastels versus pencil and so on), figure studies, history,
and artists and their influences.
Painting
-Different paint mediums properties, examples acrylic versus oil. I also studied basic
color theory and use of shadowing and representation of reflection qualities. I have
knowledge on the different processes in relation to color and color in relation to the
different paints.
Art History
-I have knowledge of the different movements and their influences in art, the
development of different art forms, and perspective and different art developments. I
have also taken a class that focused on the significant of women in major art movements.
