Life accomplishments of Derek Jeter

1. • Derek Jeter was born on June 26, 1974 in
Pequannock, New Jersey
• Derek then moved with his family to
Kalamazoo, Michigan and played T-ball at
the age of five.
• In high school Derek played baseball and
basketball; excelling in both sports.

2. Derek Jeter was drafted by
the Yankees in 1992 where
he played on the farm-
team.

3. • 12 All-star appearances.
• Five Gold Glove awards.
• Four Silver Slugger awards.
• Five time World Series champion.
• Rookie of the year in 1996.

4. On June 3rd, 2003 Jeter was named the
captain of the New York Yankees.
Becoming only the 11th player to be
named captain in franchise history.

5. In February of 2014 he announced that
this would be his last year and then he
would retire.
