हमें ननधि अंतरण/ लॉटरी र्जीतने/प्रोसेशसंग िुल्क के भुगतान आदद से संबन्धित
विषय पर मुख्य महाप्रबंिक, उपभोक्ता शिक्षण और संरक्षण विभाग, भारतीय
ररज़िव बैंक को भेर्जा गया आपका ट्रेशलंग ईमेल प्राप्त हुआ है। इस संबंि में
आपको ननम्न प्रकार सूधित करना िाहते हैं:
विदेिी विप्रेषण/ननधि अंतरण/लॉटरी आदद से संबन्धित आपको प्राप्त ईमेल/
फोन काल/पत्र फर्जी है तथा इसे भारतीय ररज़र्व बैंक/अन्य ककसी सार्वर्जनिक
प्राधिकारी के द्र्ारा िहीीं भेर्जा गया है।
िोखािड़ी करने िाले प्राय: ररज़िव बैंक/भारत सरकार/ अधय ककसी सािवर्जननक
प्राधिकारी के अधिकाररयों के छद्म नाम का उपयोग करते हैं और भुक्तभोगी से
फोन/ईमेल पर संपकव करते हैं। िे अपनी विश्िसनीयता को स्थावपत करने के
शलए बनाई गई फर्जी िेबसाइट का संदभव देते हुए मोबाइल नंबर और फर्जी
ईमेल आईडी देते हैं और र्जनता को आकवषवत करते हैं। कृ पया ध्यान दें कक
भारतीय ररज़िव बैंक डडसबसवल हेतु पैसा रखने के शलए भारत में ककसी
व्यन्क्त/कं पनी/धयास के नाम में कोई खाता नहीं रखता है। यह ककसी व्यन्क्त
के शलए कोई खाता नहीं खोलता है अथिा न ही इन खातों में पैसा रखने के
शलए कहता है।
इसके अलािा, विदेिी मुद्रा प्रबंि अधिननयम 1999, ककसी भी रूप में, इनामी
पैसा/पुरस्कार आदद पाने के प्रयोर्जन के शलए मनी सकुव लेिन योर्जनाओं अथिा
विप्रेषणों र्जैसी विशभधन नामों िाली लॉटरी या लाटरी र्जैसी योर्जनाओं में भाग
लेने के शलए प्रनतबंि लगाता है।
2. कृ पया ऐसे फर्जी प्रस्ताि आने पर साििान रहें और ककसी खाते में न तो पैसा
भेर्जें अथिा न ही पैसा र्जमा करें अथिा ऐसे प्रस्तािों के उत्तर में अपने बैंक
खाते के ब्यौरे न बताएं। इसके अलािा, आप ऐसे प्रस्तािों की र्जानकारी को
स्थानीय पुशलस अधिकारी/आधथवक अपराि स्कधि/साइबर अपराि प्रकोष्ठ (
ब्यौरे हमारी िेबसाइट www.rbi.org.in पर उपलब्ि हैं) के संज्ञान में लाएं और
अपराधियों को पकड़िाने में मदद करें।
विदेि से पैसा भेर्जने के ऐसे फर्जी प्रस्तािों पर र्जनता को साििान करते हुए
ददनांक 28 मई 2010, फरिरी 2011,5 अप्रैल 2011, 10 र्जनिरी 2012,6
फरिरी 2012, 21 मई 2012,14 शसतंबर 2012, 15 अक्तूबर 2012, 26 मई
2014 और हाल में 21 निंबर 2014 की हमारी प्रेस प्रकािननयां हमारी
िेबसाइट पर उपलब्ि हैं।
आप अपने पररिार के सदस्यों,शमत्रों और पड़ोशसयों को भी ऐसी योर्जनाओं के
नुक़सानों से साििान करें और उधहें सलाह दें कक यदद उनके सामने कभी ऐसा
प्रस्ताि या कोई मामला आए तो िे तुरंत स्थानीय पुशलस/साइबर अपराि
अधिकाररयों के पास इसकी शिकायत दर्जव कराएं।

Fictitious e-mail Offer / lottery winning – Complaints
We acknowledge receipt of your trailing e-mail sent to the Chief General Manager,
Consumer Education and Protection Department, Reserve Bank of India regarding
fund transfer / lottery winning / payment of processing fee etc. In this connection, we
advise as under :
The e-mail / call / letter received by you regarding foreign remittance / fund transfer /
lottery etc. is fictitious, fake and has not been sent by the Reserve Bank of India /
any other Public authority.
The fraudsters usually impersonate the officers of Reserve Bank / Government of
India / any other Public authority and contact the victim over phone / e-mail. They
give mobile phone numbers and fake e-mail IDs, giving reference of fake website
created to establish their credibility and lure the public. Please note that the Reserve
Bank of India does not maintain any account in the name of individuals / companies /
trusts in India to hold funds for disbursal. It also does not open accounts for
individuals or ask them to deposit money in those accounts.
Moreover, the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 prohibits remittance, in any
form, towards participation in lottery or lottery-like existing under different names,
such as, money circulation scheme or remittances for the purpose of securing prize
money / awards, etc.
Please be cautious while dealing with such fictitious offers and do not remit or
deposit money in any account or share your bank account details in response to
such offers. Further, you may immediately bring the details of such offers to the
notice of local police authorities / Economic Offences Wing / Cyber Crime Cells
(details available on our website www.rbi.org.in) and help book the culprits.
Our press releases dated May 28, 2010, February 15, 2011, April 5, 2011, January
10, 2012, February 6, 2012, May 21, 2012, September 14, 2012, October 15, 2012,
May 26, 2014 and recently on November 21, 2014 cautioning the public against such
fictitious offers of funds from abroad are available on our website. You may also
caution your family members, friends and neighbours about the perils of such
schemes and advise them to register a complaint immediately with the local police /
cyber-crime authorities whenever they come across such offers or incidents.
