school-to-work transitions
The problem statement that I have crafted last week is that the
person who I interviewed needs to change his way of thinking and
be more optimistic to find a job.
So our ideas will be to help him in two directions : personal and
technical.
Concerning the personal one we want to increase his self-
confidence and help him be more optimistic by doing that :
1. read books on human development.
2.watch videos on human development
3. improve his communication skills.
4.participate in social activities.
5.practicing well before attending job interview
6. Asking employed people for advice.
concerning the technical part he has two things to work on the first
one is to improve his technical skills by doing that :
1. read online tutorials on his field of study.
2. take online courses and get certifications to improve his
resume.
3. take courses in certified centers if he could.
4. make projects on his own.
5. make projects in team.
6. get trainings on his field as possible as he can.
the another one is that searching for a job , he can do that:
1. make a list of companies in his field and search for their
vacancies.
2. try working as a freelancer.
3. put backup planes to work outside his field.
4. participate in online community interested in finding jobs like
groups on facebook.
5.search the internet to find jobs.
6 search for vacancies in companies where his friends work.
The most practical idea:
Read online tutorials :
As the internet can be accessed easily and is cheap. It is often free
to read great online tutorials in different fields.
The disruptive idea :
Make projects in team:
working in teams making projects prepare him to work in companies.
Also , it makes the employee to get a good impression of him as an
active person. Also all these advantages , it also has some difficulties
like finding the idea of the project and grouping the team.
My favorite idea :
take courses in certified centers . Although it is some how expensive
but it is more fast .
