Enclosed is a current trip report of the data collected during our visit on May 27, 2009.
1) First set of reading on spindle #3 ser # 50111-80, 60729-81 rebuilt by Gros-ite. Position S2
shows a bearing misalignment, imbalance and non synchronous noise.
2) Second set of reading on spindle #2 ser # 60380-80-02 position S2 indicated a imbalance
problem. Spindle was rough balanced at Gros-ite, but had no tools to trim balance unit to meet
the .003 Mils spec. Spindle can be run with tools to make parts.
3) Third set of reading’s on spindle # 1 ser # 60380-80-01 could not be run due to a missing piece
in the dove tail rail.
Recommend a Balance ring is added to shaft to help with trim balancing.
