Cliff Startup is a metal artist and blacksmith based in Pound Ridge, New York. He crafts architectural details, garden structures, and original artwork out of steel, copper, brass, aluminum, and iron. Startup has a cavernous workshop where he uses welding torches and industrial tools to shape raw metals into functional art and restoration projects. Though self-taught, blacksmithing runs in Startup's family for generations. He is renowned for his skill and the high quality of his restorations of antique garden sculptures and pieces.
