Pravinchandra Sheth appreciates Prime Minister Modi's initiative to review and potentially change environmental laws in India. Sheth submitted comments to the Ministry of Environment and Forests' high-level committee with three main points: 1) Restore the right to oral presentations for all public at environmental hearings, 2) Restore reserved seating for senior citizens at hearings, and 3) Remove the requirement for consultant accreditation which provides no added value and is costly. Sheth believes these changes will benefit citizens and India's democracy by increasing public participation and respect for senior citizens in environmental decision making.

QUERIES HAS BEEN REPORTED WITH ToR NON COMPLIANCE

COSTLY AFFAIRS AS SMALL CONSULTANTS FIND DIFFICULT TO
AFFORD IT- BEING A GOVT. ORGANISATION- WHY IT IS AN COSTLY
AFFAIR TO OBTAIN ACCREDITATION.
I HAVE ALREADY SENT MY COMMENTS ON DRAFT REPORT
