EYE MAKEUP
TUTORIAL
( STEP BY STEP )
KEEP YOUR EYES LOOKING YOUNGER
FOR LONGER!
PRIMER
Now is the time to use that
tube you talked about buying
but never really used. Primer
is the secret to flawless
makeup, to keep the
eyeshadow in place, you can
rub it over your eyelids or
even apply it to your lashes. A
good trick to remember is that
a primer can also be used to
clean up mistakes!
CONCEALER
Now that we are getting older,
we can't help but notice the
slightly darkening areas
around our eye sockets.
Solution? Concealer! Choose
a shade or two lighter than
your normal skin tone and
apply concealer with your
fingertips, for example on the
inner corners of the eyes.
LESS IS MORE
This is probably true for
more mature women, but
adding so much eyeliner and
eyeshadow as you get older
not only looks messy but
also adds years to your look.
Sweep a nude eyeshadow
during the day and apply a
slightly darker color to the
crease for more clarity at
night outside. Make sure to
stay away from your brow
bone! Always choose the
more expensive eyeshadow
option as these tend to have
more pigment and longer
staying power.
TRENDING
EYESHADOW
If you can't resist the trending
eyeshadow look of the
moment, then don't. For
example, if you desire a
pinkish look, make sure you
choose a subtle pink and
build up gradually. When
applying the eyeshadow
shades of the moment, lightly
tap the slightly higher crease
in a circular motion so the
color can show up even on
hooded lids.
EYELINER
You may want to avoid the thick
back liner, but if you can't give
up, blot it with a cotton swab.
But generally speaking, brown
eyeliner is more forgiving. You
can also use dark eyeshadow to
mimic the look of eyeliner by
rubbing it on the outer corners
of your eyes with a makeup
brush. Liquid eyeliner is less
recommended as we age, but if
you can't live without it, the
trick is to keep the line thin.
LOWER LIDS
Although most makeup artists start to
avoid applying primer under the lashes,
actually priming the lower lashes opens the
eyes. Line the lower flap just under the
lashes and soften the look with your little
finger. Or you can dip a small brush in the
darkest eyeshadow color in your palette
and draw a line under your eyes. This helps
you create a naturally smudged look that
looks great.
•Know your colors
Applying the right shade that matches your
complexion does wonders for you. Brown
eyes look great in all colors, green eyes
look best with a bit of purple, while blue
eyes pop with earthy tones. Find your best
match and experiment until you get it right.
WARM UP YOUR
EYELASH CURLER
As we get older, it becomes
necessary to use an eyelash
curler. For best results, heat
your lashes using a blow
dryer for a few seconds,
feel like it's not too hot for
your eye, and then curl up.
LONG MASCARA
Choose long mascara
instead of volumizing. You
do not need the length and
bulk to counter the effects
of eyes that have
unfortunately started to
sink. Start applying
mascara to the roots, so
that they can move back
and forth and you get as
much as you can on the
basis of your lashes.
DON'T FORGET
YOUR EYEBROWS
Eyebrows close your eyes
and if you wear glasses,
there are more reasons to
pay attention to your
eyebrows. Fill in sparse
areas with shadow or
pencil using short feather
strokes. You just need to
mimic the look of more
eyebrow hair.
Thank You 
