1) Starch soluble is a white powdered solid used as a thickening agent. It is slightly hazardous if inhaled or upon skin/eye contact due to potential irritation. It is not hazardous if ingested.
2) Starch soluble is composed of 100% starch and will decompose if heated above its auto-ignition temperature of 380°C. It is not flammable but dust-air mixtures may ignite or explode.
3) Personal protective equipment including gloves, safety glasses and a dust respirator should be worn when handling starch soluble to prevent irritation. The material should be stored in a cool, well-ventilated area below 24°C and away from heat and oxidizing agents.
