Stimulant laxatives are commonly used for weight loss but do not effectively help remove body fat. While laxatives cause bowel movements that expel undigested food, they act on the lower intestine after nutrients are already absorbed. Using laxatives does not target body fat for removal. Long term laxative use can also lead to dependency and side effects like dehydration since they remove water and waste rather than fat from the body. Laxatives are not an effective or safe method for weight loss.
