Throughout the project, the document discusses how various media technologies were used at different stages. Microsoft Office programs like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint were used for outlining, drafting work, and creating presentations. Google was used for research and finding images. A blog was created using Blogger to upload all work. YouTube was used for research on trailers and to upload the finished trailer. Copyright-free music websites provided music for the trailer. A digital camera captured footage and photos. iMovie and Photoshop were used to edit and refine the trailer, poster, and magazine cover.

How did you use Media Technologies in the Construction and Research, Planning and Evaluation StagesThroughout the whole production of my research, planning and evaluation for the completion of my teaser trailer, promotional poster and the magazine cover, I have accomplished this by making beneficial and relevant use of a wide range of media technologies.

How did you use Media Technologies in the Construction and Research, Planning and Evaluation StagesWhen I finished writing out basic outlines and drafts of work that needed to be placed on to my blog, I produced it on Microsoft Office programs. I used Microsoft Word for things like my film summary or analysis. This way my work can be in an ideal format and it is more fast and easy as there is such a thing like spell check. I have also used Microsoft Excel for producing question 3 of the evaluation. On a couple of slides I decided to add in graphs from the data I collected from the questionnaires and then copied them onto the presentation The third and final Microsoft Office program that I used was Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation. I have used this (and still am) for completing my evaluation. As there is more to add for this part of the project, it is more easier and more functional. Also it is more of a better format for doing my evaluation in this method.

4. When doing my research for my project I mainly went to the search engine Google to receive relevant knowledge and information. I used it for research when seeking to find anything in relation to what I’m doing. For example; If I wanted to find out about fairy tales all I had to do was type it in and click on what was found. I also used Google as a source for finding images such as promotional posters or magazine covers.Google is also used as an email account service. 5. Blogger or Blogspotis a blog-publishing service that allows people to upload regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. I use this to upload the whole of project within different entries. All of my work from my research on horror films to this very presentation slide that your viewing now is uploaded on to my own personal blog. When using blogger I’m also able to change the design settings so I’m able to change the way my blog is presented to my own personal preference.How did you use Media Technologies in the Construction and Research, Planning and Evaluation Stages

6. How did you use Media Technologies in the Construction and Research, Planning and Evaluation Stages You tube acted as an important role for the construction of the stages of my project. I used you tube in my research as I was to find out about different horror trailers and how they were made and portrayed so it could inspire me in ways of how to create my own.Also, I created a you tube account so I was able to upload my finished trailer online so people were ableto view it easily.

7. When finding music for my trailer, I had to access those of copyright free usage. I looked at many websites for music that worked well for my teaser trailer and that were legal for me to use and download. As I used three pieces of music in my teaser trailer, I retrieved them from two different copyright free websites. 8. To upload some of my work to the blog I used slide share. It is an online slide hosting service where users can upload files from certain format. 9. When actually constructing the filming of my teaser trailer I used a digital camera which I could use for both video footage and still images. Using this camera was at first complicated because I had never used it before and I had to get use to the function of it but I quickly got the hang of it. It was very efficient because I could also do the photo shoot for my magazine cover and the poster. Plus I could take as much shots as I liked because if one didn’t work well the first time I could always redo it again. 10. After I filmed my teaser trailer it was time to edit it to the final production. By picking out the shots that I wanted and adding in text and sound effects I used imovie. Again this was another complicated piece of technology for me to use but I soon found my way around it for completing my trailer. 11. As well as using imovie to refine my teaser trailer, I also needed to create my promotional poster and my magazine cover. Having already taken the pictures for them I needed to make the final production by using Adobe Photoshop. Photoshop allowed me to crop and refine my images as well as to add different things to them such as text and other images or colours. By using Photoshop for my ancillary text I could make to appeal more to the brief and to the target audience. 12. Throughout this whole project I have used a wide range of technology to create my finish production. Although I have had some complications with getting use to how some of them work, I now feel that my knowledge and skill of these modern technologies have improved.
