As technology becomes friendlier and easier to use, new opportunities (and unexpected challenges) arise. This presentation is about how apps connect us in new liberating ways. It focuses on how apps disrupt barriers, change behaviors and connect disparate ecosystems. Ilia Uvarov is creative director and head of experience design at R/GA London. The presentation was originally made at London Marketing Week 2012.
Here at SEA-SHIELD® we strive to provide products that meet and/or exceed the needs and expectations of crew. SEA-SHIELD® was developed by yacht crew for yacht crew. We know the demands and routines of the crew from the unpredictable nature of yachting itineraries to the never ending maintenance of the yacht exterior, tenders and toys. There is enough to do on a yacht besides having to polish the stainless every two weeks or polish the hull to remove exhaust every time the boat is used or apply wax every month (which never happens, since there is never enough time to do that in the first place). Crew need products that work fast, provide noticeable results, are easy to use and ultimately save time on maintenance so that they can focus on the more important parts of the job such as service to the owner and guests, operating the vessel and training.
