Introduc*on to Escape Quest
Escape Quest Queenstown is a real live escape game that is perfect for team building and
corporate groups.
As a team or mul*ple teams (depending on group size) of *me travelling detec*ves, you
will be transported back to Queenstown’s 1860’s Gold Rush. The adrenaline builds as you
hunt for clues and solve puzzles, whilst racing head to head with the other teams as well as
the clock!
Teams are locked in the room without phones or gadgets and must communicate,
strategise and problem solve together to escape. Escape Quest enhances team work and
collabora*on as well as a compe**ve spirit. As the clock *cks down and the pressure
mounts, teams are pushed out of their comfort zone, whilst having brilliant fun in a safe
environment, irrespec*ve of weather.
Escape Quest puzzles are logical and crea*ve, improving problem solving skills. It’s
educa*onal, bonding and best of all, amazing fun!

What is an Escape Game/Room?
Escape Games first appeared in Japan in 2007. These game’s were basically a real life
version of computer based escape games.
Two streams of escape games have since developed, one based predominantly on shocks
and fear (zombies etc) and the other based more on problem solving and logic. Escape
Quest is based on the laRer.
At Escape Quest, teams of 2-6 people are locked in a room that is themed around
Queenstown’s 1860s gold rush and have 60 minutes to solve a crime that has happened in
that room and escape the room. The team does this by hun*ng for clues and solving
puzzles. As a world class escape experience, Escape Quest is a completely independent
game with original content, rich theming and narra*ves based on Queenstown 1860’s Gold
Rush loca*ons or actual events. All of the content was researched, developed and
designed by the dedicated Queenstown based team.

Escape Quest Queenstown Capabili*es
• The full Escape Quest experience lasts approx 1.5 hours. There is a briefing before the
game, the game lasts for approx 1 hour, and there is a dress-up team photo aWerwards.
• First session is at 10am with subsequent sessions commencing every 1.5hrs throughout
the day. The last session start *me is 8:30pm.
• Team size is 2-6 people per room, we currently have 5 rooms which enables up to 30
people per session. If the group is larger than 30 people then we can split the teams
over mul*ple sessions
• Both of Escape Quest’s Directors have extensive corporate backgrounds including
problem solving, strategy, solu*on design and change management. Our quests have
been designed to enhance problem solving skills and team bonding.
• The Escape Quest experience is fully facilitated, ensuring everyone has a great *me. As
an event organiser, you’ll have 1 less thing to worry about when you use Escape Quest!
• Escape Quest is centrally located in the Queenstown CBD within walking distance to
major hotels
