The esahaj portal is an online platform for processing security clearance applications in India's civil aviation sector, developed by the Ministry of Civil Aviation. It facilitates the automation and standardization of security clearance processes, allowing for secure registration, document uploads, and the tracking of application status. Currently, 13 types of security clearances are available for application, while processes for other licenses and permits remain separate and handled by respective organizations.

Clearance by Ministry of Civil Aviation (MOCA) and its
attached offices- Directorate General of Civil Aviation
(DGCA), Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS)
 Standardization of information formats
 Implementation of workflow for security clearance from
users to Ministry/ associated organizations/ MHA
 Single Window facility
 Reducing manual interface

4. Major Functionalities
 Secure OTP based Registration/login for users
 Currently Total 13 type of security clearances covered.
 More type of security clearances would be put online in due
course
 Document upload facility
 Role based secure access
 Provision to seek online clarifications from users and send replies
 Dashboard with status of application at each level
 Applicant can submit request online to withdraw an already
submitted application. If the concerned section/ organisation has
not forwarded it further, it may at its discretion permit returning of
the said application online on the portal. In any case, the complete
record of the already submitted application would continue in the
portal and will not be removed.
