This document discusses using geofoam EPS (expanded polystyrene) for seismic and static earth insulation. It provides tables showing the recommended wall heights and percent thickness of EPS inclusion for earthquake shielding in different seismic zones in Greece. It also gives an example of using EPS inclusion in a retaining concrete wall 4 meters tall, showing the percent thickness needed and resulting cost reduction compared to not using EPS inclusion, which ranges from 11-40% depending on the seismic zone.
