The following presentation is about a chapter in NCERT English textbook of class 7th. The name of the chapter is " The ashes that made the trees bloom". This presentation includes the glossary of the chapter. The following chapter is about an old couple who were very kind and they had a wicked old neighbour who were jealous of the old couple. When he heard of his neighbour's good luck he tried to do the same things but all in vain. Theme of the chapter- The theme of the story is honesty, compassion, diligence, etc with a small hint of magical realism. The soul of the dog is the old couple’s make believe determination to get past personal setbacks and begin anew. Moral of the chapter- The moral of the story is that whatever happens to us in the present or in the future is the result of what we did in the past……………
