This student enjoyed a class period where they got to reuse items they previously considered useless and turn them into art, allowing them to explore their interests in ecology and environmental preservation. They believe the class challenged everyone to be creative and make something from nothing, which is what many consider to be the definition of art, and may explain the common connection between art and nature.

1.  I really liked this period because we got to do a
different thing with the stuff we thought was
useless, and I’m very into ecology and
preservation of the ecosystem.
 I think everybody pushed themselves to find a
way to create something out of nothing, and
that’s what many people consider art. Maybe
that’s why art and nature are often related.
