Empire is a four-piece indie/alternative rock band from Norwich, England, formed in 2006 as The Interpreters. They have toured extensively in the UK, including supporting well-known bands. In late 2008, signing with All Sorted!?! Records, from which they will soon release a new album under their new name, Empire.

2. Empire – Who are they? Empire are a four piece band based in Norwich. Formed in 2006 under the name ‘The Interpreters’, they played various shows around Norwich then the rest of the UK. The band have been on tour around Britain, including playing various o2 academies. Late 2008/ Early 2009 saw The Interpreters sign to All Sorted!?! Records and support bands such as The Twang, The Rascals, The Paddingtons, The Holloways & many other top names.
