Customer provided the below description:

Priority: high


Diagnosis SPS A on BUS: 0 Enclosure: 0 must be replaced



Module to be replaced Stock No: 88040276 EQC: 078-000-062 Standby Power Supply, 1000W SPS
(RHOS):CX300

Machine:
SPS Replacement EMC Storage CX-300
Logs and symptoms:
DPE2 Bus 0 Enclosure 0 *FAULT*
(Bus 0 Enclosure 0 : Faulted; Bus 0 Enclosure 0 SPS A : Faulted)
Bus 0 Enclosure 0 SPS A State: Faulted
Bus 0 Enclosure 0 SPS B State: Present
Analysis:
SPS-A on the Bus 0 Enclosure 0 has failed.
Corrective actions:
1. Tack full Backup :
Customer is requested to tack the full storage data backup.
2. Disable the write cache :
Right click on the serial number of the Clariion in Navisphere and choose properties, then go to the CACHE tab and check
whether or not write cache is enabled, disable it if needed.
Also we can check by using the command line:

navicli -h <ip of SPA or SPB> -user <user> -password <password>getcache

or

naviseccli -h <ip of SPA or SPB> -user <user> -password <password> -scope 0 getcache scope
0 = local, scope 2 = LDAP
3. Replace the failed SPS:

Locate the failed SPS (A) by his ember LED.



unplug the ac input cables



Unplug the RJ45 SPS monitoring plug



Remove two screws in the front of the unit for the failed SPS and then the screws that attach it to the rear



Slide the unit out.


Reverse the process to put in the new one.



Once you power up the new SPS and reconnect the monitor, the Storage Processor will test it. So, you'll see an amber light
for a while and it may take a bit of time to recharge.

4. Enable the write cache:
The write cache should re-enable once the SPS is fully charged and tested. The SPS will have a single green light at that point. To
check the write cache, righ-click the array, hit properties, and goes to the cache tab.
