Embassy Group unveiled Embassy Springs on the 9th of June,
in North Bengaluru.
The media launch saw over 40 journalists across India, attend
the conference and applaud the inception of Bengaluru’s largest
integrated city. The event attendees comprised of the top media
dailies and broadcast houses nationally, covering the event.
Addressing the press, Embassy Group Chairman and Managing
Director Jitu Virwani said: “The launch further reinforces our
continued focus on creating a large residential portfolio with a
strong focus on the North Bengaluru corridor.”
Reeza Sebastian, Vice President, Residential Marketing & Sales,
Embassy Group, further added, “With Embassy Springs, we aim
to redefine the meaning of suburban living in India by

Management Services, touched upon the strong focus on the
North Bengaluru corridor. Arunjot Singh Bhalla, Managing

June saw
over 300 CPs from across India applaud the inception of

7. The Embassy Group showcased their residential portfolio at the
Indian Property Show held at the Dubai World Trade Centre,
between the 2nd and 4th of June, 2016. This is an internationally
acclaimed event showcasing Indian Properties to NRIs across
the globe. It is one of the best property shows in the world and
one of the most awaited events on Indian Properties in several
countries. This marked the Embassy Group's first foray into the
Middle East market. Visitors were given insights and details into
the Residential Good Life portfolio, featuring Embassy Boule-
vard, Embassy Grove, Embassy Lake Terraces, Embassy ONE
and Embassy Pristine, as well as a preview to Embassy Springs,
which garnered a lot of interest among the NRIs in Dubai.
With the aim of helping Indians living in Dubai realise their
dream of owning a home back in India, the show featured 500
projects by over 150 developers from across the country - the
participating developers included some of the best Indian real
estate and construction companies. The show saw 11,000 people
attend and the Embassy Group is confident of a growing

designer Paresh Lamba, collaborated to curate an evening of

The fourth edition of the Park Premier League, the much
awaited inter-park cricket tournament, saw over 120 teams
registering enthusiastically, but only 64 teams could be
accommodated to play in the knock-out. Over 400 players
participated in the matches across the Parks. In the penultimate
round, NetApp(Embassy GolfLinks) Blue Ocean(Embassy
TechVillage) and IBM (Embassy Manyata), competed against each
other and NetApp and Blue Ocean qualified for the grand finale
on the 25th of May, at Embassy Manyata Sports Zone.The
tournament attracted over 500 spectators cumulatively, and the
grand finale was followed by a cricket carnival which was an added
attraction Apart from this, a lot of fun games were organized so
that other park members could also participate. Food trucks
served delicious snacks to everyone present at the venue.
Embassy Office Park’s Energize Board Game Club continues
to rock. This special club was started for park users and board
game enthusiasts, and they were seen bonding over a good game.
The club has got great response with over 1300 participants
competing against each other, over games like Carrom Board,
Chess and Scrabble. The club is functional on all Wednesday’s
from 12 noon to 5pm.
Bengaluru Football Club team captain Sunil Chhetri and his
team, visited Embassy Manyata on the 30th of March, at the
Amphitheatre. The event was attended by over 200 Park users.
Football enthusiasts were shortlisted a day prior through a
pre-event penalty shoot-out organized at Embassy Sports Zone,
and they got an opportunity to personally interact with Sunil
Chhetri and receive a signed jersey and other goodies from him.
In addition, they also got a chance to engage with him in a fun
penalty shoot-out.

‘Lack of Mind Space Limits Productivity’ Says David Allen
NetApp wins by 3 wickets
Globally acclaimed Productivity Guru and Founder of the ‘Getting Things
Done' (GTD) methodology, David Allen, conducted a workshop for CEOs at The
Hilton in Embassy Golf Links, Bengaluru, on March 16. His book, ’Getting Things
Done’ – The Art of Stress-Free Productivity, has sold over 1.6 million copies and
enjoys a cult following. Attendees included C-level executives from occupier firms
and top executives of the Embassy Group, led by Mike Holland-CEO, Embassy
Office Parks. At the event organized by Embassy Office Parks, along with Calm
Achiever, David introduced the GTD concept and described the five essential steps
- Capture, Clarify, Organize, Reflect and Engage- that create a relaxed, yet focused
control over the mind. “Lack of ‘mind space’ and not ‘time’ is the biggest limitation
for productivity, especially among the top management executives in the business
today,” remarked David.

Embassy Celebrates World Environment Day
ICCT - 20 semi-finals was screened with great fanfare
across all the Embassy Office Parks on the 30th
and 31st
of
March. Cricket mania was on in full swing and to jazz up
the cricket mood, there was a theme based flea market
organized as well as cartloads of fun activities at Manyata
Embassy Business Park and Embassy GolfLinks on both the
days. The screening saw over 3000 park users cheering for
India on 31st
March, as they stayed late night to catch all
the action.
As a mark of commitment to sustainability and environmental
preservation, Embassy Office Parks and Embassy Service Teams
hosted an event on the occasion of World Environment Day-
2016. This is observed every year on June 5th and is run by the
United Nations Environment Programme( UNEP) to raise
global awareness about the need to take positive environmental
action to protect nature and planet earth and this event is
celebrated in over 100 countries. The attendees were educated
about solid waste and waste management solutions at source.

As part of the continuing commitment to enhance the lives of people and empower them, several fun activities were lined up throughout
the year. Be it employees or Corporate occupants, the strong spirit of camaraderie was palpable across our Parks. From cricket mania, to
doing our bit for the planet on World Environment Day, there was never a dull moment at the work spaces.

waste management for over 150 participants. This was followed
by a Tree plantation drive that was attended by all key occupi-
ers of the parks, and included companies like Swiss Re,
Microsoft, IBM, Sony and Siemens amongst others.
The “wealth from waste” corporate competition saw close to 25
corporate teams participating and come up with brilliant ideas.
Organic market awareness walk, sapling distribution and the
compost quiz competition, saw over 700 participants across the
Parks and these were all a great success.

Embassy Group is investing in improving roads leading from Embassy GolfLinks to Challaghatta Road, totaling 1.4 km. The scope
of the project includes laying of bituminous roads from the Hero Honda showroom to Gate #2 and Gate #3 to Pipeline Road, and
refurbishing storm water drains and laying of kerbs and medians. The measures to beautify this stretch will be appreciated by one
and all.
In addition to an escalator skywalk, the Embassy Group has taken several measures to improve traffic conditions on the Marathahalli -
Sarjapur section of ORR. These include opening of the new road on the east side of Embassy TechVillage, connecting the main road leading
to Sarjapur Road and deployment of traffic wardens to support the traffic police in optimal traffic movement, outside the office park.
The Embassy Group strongly believes in enhancing the
infrastructure in and around our Office Parks and efforts are on
to build a skywalk to benefit the community at large. These
efforts are a reflection of our commitment to enhancing
communities around where we live and work.

principle’ approval from the BDA for construction of an

Embassy Industrial Parks was proud to be the Industrial &
Warehousing Partner for the India Logistics Expo 2016, held at
the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon (E), Mumbai, from the
19th to 21st May.
In addition to the Expo, the conference also consisted of a series
of interactive sessions catering to the knowledge and growth
needs of the rapidly expanding Indian logistics sector. Embassy
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) held
their flagship event for the logistics sector at the
Hotel Lalit in Mumbai, on the 21st and 22nd of
April. Embassy Industrial Parks was proud to be a
Gold Sponsor at the event. The summit was the
ideal platform to showcase Embassy Industrial
Parks’ growing relationship with CII and increased
standing in the industry.
Anshul Singhal – CEO, Embassy Industrial Parks,
was one of the key speakers at the event. He spoke
about the business of logistics, buyers and end
users, and gave insights on how the space contin-
ues to evolve. Over 400 people attended the event
with a number of delegates showing an interest in
Embassy Industrial Parks’ upcoming project in
Chakan, Pune.

Working hand-in-hand to ease traffic woes
EMBASSY SERVICES
Embassy Services, the property development arm of
Embassy Group, has added 25 cycles to its fleet at Embassy
TechVillage and another 50 cycles at Embassy TechZone,
Pune. This is indeed a reflection of the changing times and
the eco-friendly initiatives that the Embassy Group takes
towards its environment sustainability initiatives.
The Honorable Minister of Agriculture, Karnataka Government, Mr.
Krishna Byre Gowda and the sitting MLA from the Byatarayanapura
constituency, expressed an interest to meet the heads of clients
located at Manyata Embassy Business Park. He addressed the grave
traffic situation around the Park which was leading to loss of
productivity. He emphasized the need for individual clients to
promote carpooling within the employee community. Embassy also
facilitated the presence of three carpooling company founders and
representatives from BMTC, BBMP and Traffic police.
There was also an interactive session with the Additional
Commissioner of Police – Bangalore Traffic, Dr MA Saleem IAS,
on the 5th of February 2016. The session was hosted at Cognizant’s
office, which was attended by representatives of more than 20
companies,which included facility heads and park users. Dr. Saleem
spoke about the improvement and hurdles in traffic management
across the city in general and around this business park in particular.
He congratulated Embassy on the initiatives taken to improve traffic
around the campus such as the skywalk and the carpooling
campaign.
As part of the ongoing relationship, the DCP, NE Division,
Dr. Harsha PS, visited Manyata Embassy Business Park and
interacted with the clients on the topic of womens’ safety in the
IT sector.
He explained the initiatives that the Police Department has taken
and will be taking, such as a Whatsapp group for communicating
information on a timely basis, templates for complaints to enable
remote FIR and more.

M5 Personal Project Exhibition
Academic rigor and high expectations are central to a Stonehill
education, and we are proud to have an exemplary group of highly
qualified and professional teachers. In the current academic year
alone, one of our teachers has received a grant for educational
research in mathematics teaching techniques in the classroom,
and another is the author of a newly-published text on French
language acquisition, used in MYP classrooms around the world.
We are also privileged to have a number of International
Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) subject examiners on our staff,
in Psychology, English, Biology, French, Mathematics, and Visual
Arts. Add to that a recently published article on Statistics by one
of our teachers, presentations at workshops in India and Asia on
the Primary Years Programme and Technology, and an Olympic
swimmer on our Physical Education staff, and Stonehill can truly
boast of an innovative and highly involved academic staff who are
committed to excellence and best educational practices.
However, learning and excellence doesn’t just happen in the
classroom at Stonehill. Our students benefit from world-class
tennis, equestrian, and other sports programmes, as well as
opportunities to make a real difference in our world, through
service learning projects, both close to home and further afield. In
order for our students to reap the maximum benefits of this
complete educational experience, we are pleased to offer both day
and boarding programmes.
On 2nd April, 2016, the boarding community witnessed
another milestone in our journey of development – the official
inauguration ceremony of all three of Stonehill’s boarding
houses by Mr. Jitu Virwani, Founder of Stonehill International
School. We now have a record number of 27 boarding students.
This exceeds our goal for 2015 – 2016, and sets us on our way to
doubling that number in the near future.
On 7th April, Stonehill International School
held its annual M5 Personal Project Exhibition.
This event is a major landmark in the life of M5,
or Grade 10, students. The Personal Project is an
integral part of the IB curriculum for Grade 10
students and makes up for a large percentage of
their assessments.
This year showcased 20 projects, each of them
embedded in a specific global context. The
students’ preferences were contexts such as
Identities & Relationships, Globalisation &
Sustainability, Personal & Cultural Expression,
and Scientific & Technical Innovation.
By completing their personal projects, the M5
students not only created interesting new products
or put ideas into practice, they also developed
organisation, communication, creative and critical
thinking and information literacy skills. They
developed as learners and became more
knowledgeable, open minded, thinkers, risk-takers
and reflective .
Congratulations to the M5 class of 2016, to their
parents, teachers and project supervisors.

The musical production of Roald Dahl's version of “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” by our P5 students, brought out their hidden talents.
There was a two month long competition that was held to name
our boarding houses. While we received an enormous number
of entries, the winning entry that was approved by the Head of
School and the Governing Council came from one of our
full-time boarders, Urvi. The selected names are: OHANA
House for the Junior Boarding House; SERENITY House for
the Girls Boarding School; and AMITY House for the Boys
Boarding School. Kudos to the team for their creativity.

After the start of warmblood breeding operations
in India, at the Embassy International Riding School
a couple of years ago, following which Four
warmblood foals were auctioned last year in the foal
championship, a lot of Equestrian horse owners
showed interest to procure warmbloods for their
riders while a couple of breeders looked to produce
sport horses with covering warmbloods from
thoroughbreds. Envisioning this, Jitu Virwani,
founder of the Embassy International Riding School
(EIRS), Chairman & Managing Director of Embassy
Group and Lara Becker from Germany, Head,
Breeding Operations, Embassy International Riding
School, set up India’s first and only Sporthorse
Studbook.
The warmblood studbook will offer breeding
consultancy, register warmblood foals and issue
passports for the foals which are born in India.
Under the aegis of Sporthorse Studbook, events like
foal championships and auctions, mare registration
events, stallion approvals and breeding workshops
will be held in India.
The Sporthorse Studbook and the breeding program
also helps India enlist itself to become a member of
the World Breeding Federation for Sporthorses, so
that the horses can obtain worldwide acclaim and
opening a gateway for competitions across the globe.
Adds Lara Becker, “At the moment, approximately
300 riders and 4278 horses are registered with the
Equestrian Federation of India. Even the number of
private riding clubs in India is growing and many
sporthorses from Europe were imported to India in
the last few years. In addition, there are a few other
warmblood breeders and stud farm owners who are
keen on investing in warmblood breeding.
This shows the interest and catering to this need
will ensure that India champions the sport in the
years to come.”
Isaack Koshy gained an entry into a premier novice championship final, after finishing third in the Senior British Novice Championship in
Oxford. With an impressive eighteen combinations he made it through to the final jump off, where thirteen talented riders held their nerve
to produce a treble clear, and it was once again down to the all-important clock to decide the leader board. Isaack Koshy from EIRS
training in Somerby, Leicestershire took home the third place on Zarosh Bharucha’s 9 year-old bay gelding, Equs Captain Morgan.They
gained their treble clear in 41.24 seconds. It was John Steels, Isaack’s trainer from MeltonMowbray, Leicestershire, who took victory on
board his own 5 year-old bay gelding, Lacoste.

Workspace Meister’ sketches the journey of the

Bengaluru-based magnate is expanding his
presence into the residential arena with as much
élan and sense of purpose, that he has for his

risk well, and knows how much risk
he should be taking.”
As the business has grown, Virwani
who is a regular on the Forbes India
Rich List and was ranked 68 in
2015, with $1.6 billion in wealth,
has delegated effortlessly while
still remaining accessible to his
customers. Adds Parikh, “ Virwani is
a prolific dealmaker and is able to see
inherent patterns in businesses
which enables him to see value
where others can’t, thereby giving
him the first mover advantage”. His
modus operandi is simple: take
capital from investors, develop
property, share the proceeds and
move to the next big thing. Over the
next 5 years Virwani moved to
cement his position in the Bengaluru
market. Through Embassy GolfLinks,
Manyata Embassy Business Park and
Embassy TechVillage that offers 20
million sft in the city alone, apart
from TechZone in Pune.
With his leadership position in
the Bengaluru office market
unchallenged, Virwani in 2012,
decided to get back to the residential
space, sticking to the premium
housing space. In May, he will make
another big bet by launching
Embassy Springs a 300 crore
township in North Bengaluru.
Embassy has acquired 52 acres in
Pune and 198 acres at
Sriperumbudur, near Chennai for
2 industrial parks that will come
equipped with basic infrastructure
and links to ports and airports. Here,
companies will set up factories for
their manufacturing needs.
Virwani at 50, is already looking to
the next generation to take over. He
enjoys mentoring his two sons Karan
and Aditya and insists that he could
step back in the next 4-5 years and
start something new. This could well
be a journey to watch out for, signs
