The document summarizes a song called "Brother's Boat" by a band called Eliza and The Bear. It says the song has a slow, melodic introduction with catchy guitar riffs and trumpets that sets a foundation of "musical bliss." The lyrics then fill the track with honest reflection before an explosive "drop" interrupts. No matter the lyrics, the song is a surprisingly wonderful gem that will have the listener's heart skip with utter joy.

With a slow and melodic intro, utilizing catchy guitar riffs and
background trumpets, the band quickly sets a foundation of pure musical
bliss. Soft and heart-warming lyrics quickly fill the track with a sense of honest
reflection that is ultimately interrupted by one of the most explosives and
welcoming organic „drops‟ from an indie band we have encountered this year.
No matter what the lyrics may be about, “Brother‟s Boat” is a surprisingly
wonderful gem that will have your heart skip a beat of utter joy.

It took me a while to find a song that I wanted to do, and when I finally did find this song I had completely no ideas. –Show ideas sheet-. I kept listening and listening untill I knew the song by heart and eventually it came to me. I knew what visuals I saw when I listened to the song but it was so unrealistic and unpractical. More on this later
My music video is going to be amplifying.
An old person, a young person, a band and a journey. To me, the song felt as if it was coming from the personna of an elderly man who was reflecting on his life and childhood. As the video is going to be amplifying instead of illustrative, only some parts of his life will be illustarted.
The grandfather and Grandson will be “walking through” life. The Grandfather and Grandson will be walking at the side of the beach or on a pier and the “flashbacks” will be set in various places, on the beach, at a church, park, duck feeding ect. I liked the main setting of a beach because it is meaningful as a childhood memory to many different people.
The young male will be looking smart/casual. Jeans and a top. His clothing will change when the shots are of performance. He will look fashionable as this is good for the band image. The elderly male will be wearing a large oversized shirt, cap and smart trousers. This clothing is typical of an elderly man. The elderly man will also have a walking stick. Props include a park bench.
When talking my idea over, I realised that I was potentially going to be telling a story. This is not what I wanted the music video to be. Therefore, I decided that Performance will also play a large part in my music video. There will be shots of the “Grandson” playing and singing with his band. Lyp Sync will be present here. After watching a experimental film by DzigaVertov I gained some ideas about some of the cinematypography elements I would like to use when showing performance.
Sepia to show ageMore and more colour present as the time gets closer to real timeOld man crying when talking about going hoooooome @insert lyrics@ to show emotion and meaning of the songPull focus, setting to performanceI would also like the cuts to happen on beats, this will make the video “flow” better and become a whole instead of many different scenes.
I was so happy with my idea, after finally reaching this stage. Then, I realised I don’t actually know any old people, and even if I did, how would I be able to get them to the seaside? Ready to give up on this idea and find a new one. But, someone suggested getting an old mans mask! I never thought it would work. But I researched into some and the one shown on screen came up recommended. I will use additional make up to make it look more realistic.
My video will be filmed by water, so clearly this will need to be addressed. All cast will be aware of the dangers before recording starts. Wires and cables will also be a health and safety hazard, again all cast will be told and particularly reminded when recording the performance.

Andrew Goodwin taught me about the types of music video, amplifying, illustrative and disjunctive. This showed me the type of video that I wanted to produce.
