Product Design Trends in 2024 | Teenage EngineeringsPixeldarts
The realm of product design is a constantly changing environment where technology and style intersect. Every year introduces fresh challenges and exciting trends that mold the future of this captivating art form. In this piece, we delve into the significant trends set to influence the look and functionality of product design in the year 2024.
How Race, Age and Gender Shape Attitudes Towards Mental HealthThinkNow
Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).
AI Trends in Creative Operations 2024 by Artwork Flow.pdfmarketingartwork
Creative operations teams expect increased AI use in 2024. Currently, over half of tasks are not AI-enabled, but this is expected to decrease in the coming year. ChatGPT is the most popular AI tool currently. Business leaders are more actively exploring AI benefits than individual contributors. Most respondents do not believe AI will impact workforce size in 2024. However, some inhibitions still exist around AI accuracy and lack of understanding. Creatives primarily want to use AI to save time on mundane tasks and boost productivity.
Organizational culture includes values, norms, systems, symbols, language, assumptions, beliefs, and habits that influence employee behaviors and how people interpret those behaviors. It is important because culture can help or hinder a company's success. Some key aspects of Netflix's culture that help it achieve results include hiring smartly so every position has stars, focusing on attitude over just aptitude, and having a strict policy against peacocks, whiners, and jerks.

Google's Just Not That Into You: Understanding Core Updates & Search IntentLily Ray
1. Core updates from Google periodically change how its algorithms assess and rank websites and pages. This can impact rankings through shifts in user intent, site quality issues being caught up to, world events influencing queries, and overhauls to search like the E-A-T framework.
2. There are many possible user intents beyond just transactional, navigational and informational. Identifying intent shifts is important during core updates. Sites may need to optimize for new intents through different content types and sections.
3. Responding effectively to core updates requires analyzing "before and after" data to understand changes, identifying new intents or page types, and ensuring content matches appropriate intents across video, images, knowledge graphs and more.

2. zásobováním rozumíme činnosti, kterými
podnik zajišťuje potřebný materiál pro svou
činnost
3. Členění zásob
Materiál
základní suroviny - stavební hmoty, kov, dřevo, kůže, ...,
pomocné materiály - barvy, mořidla, maziva,...,
obaly - plechovky, kartóny, plasty ...,
pohonné hmoty - nafta, benzin,...,
drobné nářadí - šroubováky, klíče, vrtáky, přípravky atd. pokud
nesplní podmínky, aby byly zařazeny do dlouhodobého majetku,
kancelářské potřeby - papíry, tužky, pásky do psacího stroje,
šanony ...,
čistící prostředky - pro hygienu zaměstnanců, úklid prostor ...
4. Členění zásob
nedokončená výroba - nedokončené výrobky v takovém
stupni technologické rozpracovanosti, že nejsou zatím
prodejné - rozešité kalhoty, roztavené železo v peci,
neupečený rohlík atd.;
polotovary - rozpracované výrobky, které jsou z hlediska
některého technologického stupně už dokončené a daly by
se popř. i prodat - odlitek, deska dřeva atd.;
dalšího prodeje;
5. Zásobovací proces:
1. plánování potřeby materiálu
2. zajišťování materiálu
3. příjem materiálu
4. skladování
5. příprava k výrobě
6. výdej do spotřeby
6. Plánování potřeby materiálu
Pro stanovení plánu zásob vycházíme z
plánu výroby jednotlivých výrobků a
spotřebních norem.
Spotřební normy - určují přípustnou a
nezbytnou spotřebu materiálu na zhotovení
jednoho výrobku (např. spotřeba surovin na
jedno jídlo, spotřeba plechu na zhotovení
karosérie apod.)
a zahrnuje kontrolu přebraného materiálu z
hlediska kvality, kvantity a splnění podmínek
kupní smlouvy.
Skladník přejímá materiál na sklad dokladem o
převzetí materiálu tzv. přejímkou a materiál je
zapsán do skladové karty.
reklamační protokol - protokol se vystavuje v
případě rozdílů při přejímce materiálu v množství,
kvalitě, dodacích lhůtách a ceně.
10. Rychlost obratu zásob
Rychlost obratu můžeme chápat, jako dobu,
za kterou oběžný majetek projde všemi
formami koloběhu.
11. Zrychlení obratu přinese vyšší
výnosy, a tedy i zisk
Příklad: Vyjděme z výroby kufrů. Na začátku roku
vložíme do výroby materiál za 6 mil. Kč, další
náklady budou 9 mil., tedy celkem náklady
budou 15 mil.
Kufry do konce pololetí prodáme za 16 mil.,
čímž vznikne zisk 1 mil.
Další pololetí se koloběh zopakuje, takže 2
koloběhy nám přinesly 2 mil. zisku.
Pokud bychom dokázali kufry vyrobit a prodat
rychleji a tento koloběh realizovat 3x ročně, pak
budeme mít 3 mil. zisk.
Během pololetí materiál zpracujeme, hotové kufry prodáme a
ně zaplaceno během čtvrtletí (a ne během pololetí), postačilo by
13. Rychlost oběhu (obratu) zásob
měříme dvěma ukazateli:
celková spotřeba
počet obrátek = (počet)
průměrná zásoba
Čím více obrátek tím lépe
365 dní
doba obratu = (dny)
počet obrátek zásob
Chceme, aby tato doba byla nejkratší
14. Pro podnikatele je důležité zvyšovat počet
obrátek a snižovat dobu obratu zásob.
Příklad:
Firma spotřebuje za rok materiál za 12 mil. Kč
a průměrná zásoba je 3 mil. Kč.
Počet obrátek = 12 000 000 : 3 000 000 = 4 obrátky za rok
Doba obratu = 365 : 4 = 91 dnů
15. Podnikatel má dvě základní možnosti jak
dosáhnout vyššího počtu obrátek:
zvyšovat objem výroby (tedy i celkovou spotřebu
trhu a firma dosahuje maximalizace zisku
16. JUST-IN-TIME - zásobování právě včas
nebo v pravém čase.
metoda spočívá v tom, že firma sepíše
smlouvy se svými dodavateli materiálů a
součástek pro výrobu, kde dohodne přesné
termíny zásobování (zásobovací cykly) tak,
aby materiály a součástky šly přímo z
nákladního auta do prostor výroby,
ideální zásoby jsou téměř žádné zásoby.
18. Plán zásobování
Se zásobami jsou spojené náklady a váží
finanční zdroje, proto musíme udržovat
zásoby na takové úrovni, aby:
zabezpečily plynulý chod výroby,
celkové náklady s nimi spojené byly co
nejmenší.
Zásobu, která splňuje tyto požadavky můžeme
označit jako zásobu optimální.
19. Odhad celkové spotřeby materiálu a
celkového nákupu
Zabýváme-li se velikostí zásob a nákupu, je
na začátku vhodné provést odhad celkové
spotřeby na delší dobu - rok, pololetí,
čtvrtletí,
známe-li odhad spotřeby, můžeme na jeho
základě určit, jak velký nákup bude
potřebný a jak často ho budeme provádět.
20. Rovnice:
13 800 : 12 = 1 150 ks.
22. Počáteční zásoba se stanoví jako zásoba
očekávaná k začátku plánovacího období tak, že
se ke skutečné zásobě ke dni sestavování bilance
připočte očekávaný nákup a odečte se očekávaná
spotřeba do začátku plánovacího období.
Spotřeba materiálu se stanoví zpravidla podle
technickohospodářských norem spotřeby a
plánovaného objemu výroby.
Konečná zásoba se počítá jako zásoba normovaná.
23. Příklad:
Akciová společnost ŠKODA Mladá Boleslav plánuje pro
příští rok spotřebu plechu pro výrobu karosérií 10 800 tun.
Skutečná zásoba plechu k 1. 7. (den sestavování bilance)
je 1200 tun, předpokládaná spotřeba do konce roku 5100
tun, očekávané dodávky ve třetím a čtvrtém čtvrtletí 4 800
tun. Normovaná zásoba plechu je 1 350 tun. Cena jedné
tuny plechu je Kč 800,-.
PZ plechu = 1 200 + 4 800 - 5 100 = 900 t
Nákup = 10 800 + 1 350 - 900 = 11 250 t
25. Řešení:
Plán zásobování pro plech na výrobu
karosérií v Kč:
PZ = 900 . 800 = 720 000,-
KZ = 1 350 .800 = 1 080 000,-
S = 10 800 .800 = 8 640 000,-
N = 8640 000 + 1 080 000 - 720 000 = 9 000 000,-
Nebo: 11 250 tun . 800 korun = 9 mil. korun.
26. Jak stanovit očekávanou spotřebu
1. Podle technické dokumentace
při tomto způsobu potřebujeme znát normu
spotřeby, která vyjadřuje přípustné optimální
množství spotřebovaného materiálu na jednotku
výrobku,
norma spotřeby zahrnuje také přípustnou
velikost odpadu a rovněž ztráty materiálu na
jednotku výrobku
tato metoda je velmi přesná, ale nejpracnější,
27. Norma spotřeby materiálu
norma spotřeby = materiál přecházející do
výrobku + norma odpadu + norma ztrát
Při stanovení očekávané spotřeby vycházíme z
norem spotřeby na jednotlivá provedení
výrobku:
celková spotřeba = norma spotřeby ∙
plánovaný počet vyráběných jednotek
28. Příklad:
Sklárna stanovuje odhad spotřeby materiálu
pro čtvrtletní výrobu dekorativních
zlacených skleniček ve výši 20 000 ks.
29. Druh Jednotka Norma spotřeby 100 ks Plánovaná spotřeba
sklovina kg 4,24 20 000: 100 * 4,24 = 848
zlatý roztok kg 0,1 20 000: 100 * 0,1= 20
30. Jak stanovit očekávanou spotřebu
chceme-li vyrobit více, poměrově zvýšíme i
plán spotřeby,
tato metoda je nejjednodušší a nejméně pracná,
zároveň je však nejméně přesná
31. Příklad:
Roční spotřeba sody je průměrně 62 t. Jestliže by plán
výroby stanovil růst produkce o 5 %, odhadli bychom
novou spotřebu sody na 62 * 1,05 = 65t.
Jestliže 1t sody stojí 3 800 Kč, bude to znamenat náklady
65 x 3 800 = = 247 000 Kč.
Budeme-li ji nakupovat týdně, bude třeba na nákup každý
týden 247 000 : 52 = 4 750 Kč.
10 800 tun. Cena jedné tuny Kč 800,-.
Pro příští rok stanovil marketingový útvar cíl zvýšit
výrobu a prodej automobilů o 9 % a současně snížit
spotřebu materiálu vyšší hospodárností o 2 %.
Předpokládá se růst cen plechu o 5 %.
Úkol:
a) vypočítejte plánovanou spotřebu v tunách
b) vypočítejte plánovanou spotřebu v korunách
34. Optimální zásoby
Z pohledu výroby a nákupu
jsou takové zásoby, které zabezpečí stálý přísun
materiálu a pokryjí i problémy způsobené
vadným materiálem, výpadkem dodávek,
problémy na hranicích, poruch kamionů atd.
Z pohledu finančního řízení
je to takové množství, které váže přijatelné
množství finančních prostředků a vyvolává co
nejmenší náklady na pořízení a skladování
36. Zásoba běžná
zásoba, ze které se průběžně vydává podle
požadavků výroby,
MAX je maximální stav zásoby po dodávce
od dodavatele,
MIN je minimální stav zásoby těsně před
novou dodávkou od dodavatele;
37. Zásoba pojistná
je množství zásoby na skladě navíc nad
běžnou zásobu pro případ, kdy se dodavatel
opozdí s dodávkou,
pojistná zásoba zajišťuje, aby výroba firmy
nestála kvůli nedostatku materiálu při
nestandardních situacích;
38. Zásoba technická
bývá pouze u některých druhů zásob, u kterých se
požaduje z technologických
důvodů určitý čas na dosušení zásoby (u dřeva)
nebo dozrání (u některých sýrů) apod.
Technickou zásobu tedy nejsme schopni
předčasně čerpat, protože tato zásoba ještě není
technologicky připravená pro výdej do výroby;
40. Stanovení minimální zásoby
Minimální zásoba říká, pod jakou výši
nemá zásoba klesnout, aby nebyla ohrožena
plynulost výroby
Nejvíce ji ovlivňuje dodací lhůta, kterou
chápeme dobu od okamžiku podání
objednávky ke skutečnému dodání.
41. Minimální zásoba se stanoví:
a) výpočtem:
minimální zásoba (v naturálních jednotkách) = dodací
lhůta * průměrná denní spotřeba + pojistná zásoba v
naturálních jednotkách
b) odhadem
43. Příklad:
Spotřeba tuku pro výrobu pleťových krémů
se na příští rok odhaduje na 4 500 kg,
pojistná zásoba je udržována na 60 kg.
Objednávka je průměrně vyřízena za týden.
Vypočtěte minimální zásobu
(za předpokladu 360 dní v roce).
44. Řešení:
Minimální zásoba =
(4 500/360 = 125 kg)
125 x 7 + 60 = 147,5 kg
45. Stanovení maximální zásoby
Maximální zásoba udává množství materiálu,
které by zásoba neměla přesáhnout - aby nebylo
zbytečně mnoho prostředků vázáno v zásobách,
aby dostačovala kapacita skladů a nedošlo k
zatarasení komunikací v prostorách podniku.
Maximální zásoba má být tak velká, aby
zabezpečila výrobu po dobu mezi 2 dodávkami
+ dobu dodací lhůty.
46. Maximální zásoba se stanoví:
a) výpočtem:
maximální zásoba (v naturálních jednotkách) =
(dodávkový cyklus + dodací lhůta) * průměrná denní
spotřeba + pojistná zásoba v naturálních jednotkách,
b) odhadem - např. jestliže dodávky nejsou
pravidelné, a nemůžeme tedy dodávkový
cyklus stanovit.
47. Příklad:
Výrobce automobilů nakupuje skla jednou týdně.
Dodavatel je schopen vyřídit objednávku za 2 dny.
Průměrná spotřeba činila denně 180 ks, pojistná zásoba
činí 450 ks.
Nákup probíhá velmi často, proto do výpočtu použijeme
jen pracovní dny.
Maximální zásoba = (5 + 2) * 180 + 450 = 1 710 ks.
48. Dodávkový cyklus
Je čas mezi dvěma smluvními dodávkami
od dodavatele,
jeho délka závisí na velikosti objednávek;
někdy jej určuje dodavatel podle svých
potřeb na 14 dní, měsíc apod.
protože často mívá podnik pro jeden druh
materiálu více dodavatelů určujeme
průměrný dodávkový cyklus.
49. Příklad:
Podnik dodává dřevěné lavičky do parků,
lázeňských areálů apod. Za rok bylo pro
jejich výrobu dodáno 2 000 m3 dřeva od
2 dodavatelů. První dodal 600 m3 dřeva
v cyklu jednou měsíčně, druhý 1 400 m3
v cyklu jednou za 2 měsíce.
50. Řešení
1. dodavatel 30 x 600 = 18 000,--
2. dodavatel 60 x 1 400 = 84 000,--
Průměrný dodávkový cyklus :
102 000 : 2 000 = 51 dní.
52. Časová norma zásob
udává čas, na jak dlouho máme zajištěnu
zásobu materiálu pro výrobu (všechny
údaje jsou ve dnech)
vzorec:
ČNZ = dodávkový cyklus + PZ + TZ
2
53. Normovaná zásoba
je důležitá především pro nákupčí
materiálu
vzorec:
NZ = ČNZ x průměrná denní spotřeba (s)
54. Normativ zásob
udává, jaké množství peněz je vázáno
v zásobách (zajímá především ekonomy)
vzorec:
Normativ zásob = NZ x cena za jednotku (p)
55. Příklad:
Průměrný dodávkový cyklus 51 dní. Na
jednu lavičku je potřeba 0,5 m3 dřeva a
ročně se jich vyrobí 3 600. Pojistná zásoba
5 dní a technická zásoba 15 kalendářních
dní. Cena dřeva činí 800 Kč/m3.
59. Příklad:
Dodávkový cyklus dodávek pšeničné mouky ze
mlýna do pekáren je 20 dnů,
pojistná zásoba je stanovena na 5 dnů.
roční spotřeba mouky (360 dnů) je 1 008 tun.
Vypočítejte:
a) normu zásob pšeničné mouky
60. Řešení:
ČNZ = 20 : 2 + 5 = 15 dnů
Denní spotřeba = 1 008 : 360 = 2,8 t
NZ = 15 x 2,8 = 42 t
Počet dodávek = 360 : 15 = 24
12 300 m.
Očekávané dodávky do konce letošního roku = 95 000 m
a očekávaná spotřeba = 93 750 m.
Úkol:
Kolik m materiálu máme nakoupit?
Vypočítejte velikost maximální a minimální zásoby v m.
62. Postup:
a)
Výpočet počáteční zásoby =
Výpočet celkové spotřeby =
Výpočet konečné zásoby (normy zásob) =
Výpočet nákupu =
b)
Výpočet maximální zásoby =
Výpočet minimální zásoby =
63. Řešení:
Výpočet počáteční zásoby
PZ = 12 300 + 95 000 - 93 750 = 13 550 m
Výpočet celkové spotřeby
S = 25 000 x 15 = 375 000 m
Výpočet konečné zásoby KZ = NZ (norma zásob)
(24 : 2 + 2 + 1) x 375 000/360 = 15 625 m
Výpočet nákupu
N = 375 000 + 15 625 - 13 550 = 377 075 m
64. Řešení:
Maximální zásoba
(24 + 2 + 1) x 375 000/360 = 28 125 m
Minimální zásoba
(2 + 1) x 375 000/360 = 3 125 m
65. Úkol 2:
Materiál dodává 1 dodavatel:
Dodávkový cyklus je stanoven na 8 dní, pojistná
zásoba stačí na 2 dny, technologická zásoba je
2 dny. Měsíční spotřeba je 30 000 m, cena
jednoho metru je Kč 50,--.
Úkol:
a) Vypočítejte normu zásob.
b) Vypočítejte normativ zásob (finanční normu
zásob).
66. Řešení:
a)
ČNZ (časové normy zásob) = 8/2 + 2 + 2 = 8 dní
NZ (norma zásob) = 30 000/30 x 8 = 8 000 m
b)
Normativ zásob = 8 000 m x Kč 50,- = Kč 400 000,--
70. Řešení:
Výpočet s (průměrné denní spotřeby)
3 kg x 49 800 ks = 149 400 kg : 360 = 415 kg
Výpočet normy zásob (NZ)
22 dní x 415 = 9 130 kg
Výpočet normativu zásob
9 130 kg x Kč 40,-- = Kč 365 200,--
71. Úkol 4:
Společnost má v I. čtvrtletí příštího roku vyrobit
60 000 ks výrobků. NS = 0,3 kg drátu. 1 kg drátu
stojí Kč 65,--. Norma času = 45 dnů.
Úkol:
Vypočítejte celkovou spotřebu drátu v kg.
Vypočítejte normu zásob, normativ zásob.
Vypočítejte potřebu nákupu, je-li PZ = 4 600 kg.
72. Řešení:
Celková spotřeba
60 000 x 0,3 = 18 000 kg drátu
Norma zásob (NZ)
45 x 18 000/90 = 9 000 kg drátu
Normativ zásob
9 000 kg x Kč 65,-- = Kč 585 000,-
Nákup
18 000 + 9 000 - 4 600 = 22 400 kg
73. Úloha 5:
Podnik plánuje vyrobit v příštím roce 1 800 kusů výrobků.
Norma spotřeby na 1 výrobek je 15 m. Skutečná zásoba k
1. 3. letošního roku je 60 m, předpokládaná spotřeba do
konce rokuje 255 m, očekávané dodávky do konce roku
jsou 240 m, 1 m materiálu je za Kč 210,--,
c = 60 dnů a p = 15 dnů.
Úkol:
Vypočítejte nákup v m a Kč, max. a min. zásobu v m.
74. Řešení:
N = S + KZ - PZ
S= 1 800* 15 = 27 000 m
KZ = (60/2 + 15) * 75 = 3 375 m (27 000/360 = 75)
PZ = 60 + 240 - 255 = 45 m
N = 27 000 + 3 375 – 45 = 30 330 m
N = 30 330 m * 210 = 6 369 300,-- Kč
75. NZ max = (c + p + t) * s
(60 + 15) * 75 = 5 625 m
NZ min = (p + t) * s
15 * 75 = 1 125 m
