MSNBC held this annual event in September 2010 .Our educational challenges were the main focus of this multiday summit. Many teachers, policy maker,and educational experts actively participated in many valuable discussions. I have summerized their opinions and recommendations

The Event From September 26th-29th, Rockefeller Plaza was transformed into a "Learning Plaza," an interactive experience open to the public that explored some of the most innovative aspects of American education. Spanning five interactive galleries - the Learner, the Educator, the School & Community, the Nation, and the Call to Action.

5. Our Global Status Among 30 developed nations. We’re ranked 24th in Math 17th in English 10th in Literacy
6. Education Nation Scoreboard for Schools An interactive tool to learn more about our neighborhood school. This scoreboard provides a statewide and nationwide comparison of schools.

President’s Agenda Teacher can play a key role in transformation Value teachers and appraise them as other developed nations are doing Teachers must be evaluated so only the committed and hard working teachers will sustain in the classroom Teachers are nation builders and they deserve the to be respected as a professional President defends investment in Education
12. Experts’ Opinion We should value our teacher and pay them as much as other valued professionals. We have to reinvent the profession to attract more young and talented people.
