Ed-Ventures Reflection
This year in Ed-ventures some teachers, classmates, and I went to Barinas which is a a
state located in Venezuela. We stayed at a place called Arassari, this place was not
near the city of Barinas. In this Ed-ventures we did rafting, endless mountain hikes, and
we traveled to El Paramo in Merida. I experienced radical temperature changes
because in the Arassari camp it was more hot because we were literary in a tropical
rainforest and in El Paramo it was super cold due to the high altitude. I still enjoyed and
learned about these places. During Ed-ventures we had a guide which we all
particularly called him The Butterfly Man, because he had this interesting, but strange
attraction for butterflies. We went with him to this mountain hike near the camp in which
were chased by strange mosquitoes, jumped over rivers, walked into a huge rainforest,
and after all the strenuous work I realized that after being on top of a mountain and
admiring the view everything was worth it.
Before traveling to these camp I was worried about the food and that’s why I bought
many candies and chips, but I never ate it all because the food was really tasty, so my
expectation was totally incorrect. Furthermore, the food was not what I liked the most.
Rafting with my friends was my favorite part of all Ed-ventures because we had fun and
it was something that I never did before, so the adrenaline was better. Also we went to
rapid rivers and many of my classmates felt out of the rafting boat.
