The proposed Dwight Arts Center is located in New Haven, Connecticut and is designed to function as both an arts center and community facility. It is organized around a central exhibition space where the artistic efforts of students can be viewed. Studios for photography, ceramics, sculpture, and painting are distributed throughout the building according to light needs. Prefabricated wood and glass screens allow people to see into classrooms and studios while providing privacy and filtering light. The goal is to foster interaction between programs and integrate the production and presentation of art.
