Palm Jumeirah It’s an artificially created cluster of islands
created using land reclamation by the Dubai government. This man-
made archipelago is one of the three planned islands called the Palm
Islands located on the Jumeirah coastal area of the emirate of Dubai.
Mall of the Emirates is one of the city's most famous malls with the spectacular
(and surreal) Ski Dubai facility inside. The indoor ski slope is complete with chairlifts and a
penguin enclosure, all at a continuous temperature of -4 degrees Celsius. There's also a cinema
complex and a family entertainment center with a whole host of rides aimed at both the big and
small. The shopping opportunities are boundless, as are the eating options, offering every
conceivable world cuisine.
Al Mamzar Beach Park covers an area of 106 hectares which
includes huge expanses of grassed picnic areas, an amphitheatre,
swimming pools, kid’s play areas, barbecue & food spots, lagoons and
sheltered beach coves.
The Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary (RAKWS) is UAE’s first
Ramsar wetland site located along the Dubai creek featuring intertidal mudflats
and mangroves, sabkhas saline flats, small lagoons and pools along with a few
small islands.
