Dr. Rebecca Ramirez Loveszy has over 30 years of experience as a bilingual music therapist. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings including hospitals, schools, and non-profits providing individual and group music therapy services to patients from infancy through geriatrics. Her areas of specialty include work with parent-infant dyads, individuals with autism, cerebral palsy, and neurological conditions. She currently serves as the clinical director of her own practice, Music Therapy Services of New York, and has held teaching and supervisory roles at multiple universities.

Music Therapist. Bi-lingual therapist providing music therapy services to NICU,
PICU, Burn unit, general pediatrics, labor and delivery when needed and
addressing the needs of siblings and extended family members. Collaborate with
other departments for the Pediatric Memorial Service and in the area of
bereavement.

Director – Creative Arts Therapy. Physical rehabilitation center for children ages 6
months to 21 years of age. In-patient and Out-patient programming – individual and
group music therapy with children with rheumatoid arthritis, spina bifida, cerebral
palsy, multiply-handicapped, visual and auditory impairments, downs syndrome,
amputations and brain-injury.
8/1984 – 8/1988 Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital – The Children's Hospital of San Antonio, Texas.
Director of Child Life & Music Therapy. Children ages newborn to 21 years with
various medical conditions. Individual and group work. Integrated programming with
all therapeutic modalities and education.
9/1982 – 7/1984 University of Texas Medical Branch. Music Therapist. Children with neurological
disorders including cerebral palsy and multiple sclerosis. Medically fragile infants
and children – immune system disorders, heart defects, cancer, leukemia and cystic
fibrosis. Children with severe burns undergoing re-constructive surgery.
