Curriculum Vitae
I have been working in Prince Sultan Cardiac Center, Al Hassa (PSCCH), since June 2012 as a
Resident (non-training, service job). PSCCH is a tertiary care independent cardiac center with
70 beds that include 10 CCU beds and 10 Cardiac Surgery ICU beds; it works as a referral
center and tertiary care provider for Al Hassa region which is an area with one of the largest
population masses in Saudi Arabia. Primary PCI and urgent Cardiac Surgeries are carried out
routinely in the center while the list of elective procedures is quite long to describe but that
include Trans-catheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), Percutaneous Mitral Valve Repair
(Mitral Clip), Left Atrial Appendage Closure (WATCHMAN), Electrophysiological services in
addition to the routine intervention that most of the tertiary cardiac care providers carry out.
Residents & Registrars in PSCCH rotate in CCU, cardiology wards and clinics to cover
specialized cardiac clinics; Arrhythmia, Coronary Artery Disease, Valvular Heart Diseases,
Pregnancy and Heart Diseases, Adult Congenital, Resistant Hypertension, along with cardiac
follow up clinics. The rotation also includes ECG stress testing clinic. The access to the nuclear
cardiology lab is limited, but I had a chance to attend few cases and the chance to discuss lot
of cases with the nuclear cardiology team.
Before joining PSCCH, I worked in Sudan during the period from 2008 to 2012, worked in
many hospitals & in different departments. But it was clearly seen than cardiology is my
passion and my passion to cardiology has enormously increased since I joined Wad Medani
Cardiac Center ( WHDSC ), which is 125 bedded cardiac center. I worked with an eminent
cardiologist ( Dr.Mohamed Elfatih Badri ), who taught me a lot of basic cardiology skills
starting from ECG interpretation & how to manage patients appropriately, going through
more advanced cardiology techniques including assisting and working under supervision for
many interventional cardiology procedures like diagnostic coronary angiography, PCI &
permanent pacemaker implantation.
I am looking forward developing my skills in the Cardiology, preferring to get systemic training
and to further develop my skills in medical education and to have a chance to participate
actively in Research field as well.
