Frane Selak, a Croatian music teacher born in 1929, has had an unbelievably unlucky life having survived seven near-death experiences. His streak of bad luck began in 1962 when the train he was traveling on derailed and fell into an icy river, killing 17 people though Selak survived with hypothermia and a broken arm. A year later, the door flew off a plane he was on and he was sucked out, but survived being dragged over the engine and flames. He has since survived additional accidents including being hit by a bus and having his car catch fire and explode, with only minor injuries each time.
