• The complete Jewish Bible is composed of 24 books called the Tanach ()
• The Tanach is made up of Torah (5 books of Moshe (Moses),
the word Torah means ‘teachings'),
• Nevi'im (Prophets),
• K'tuvim (Writings).
Torah Brief introduction
and comparing with
Divine Principle
The Torah is the first of three parts of the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible),
the founding religious document of Judaism, and is divided into five books, whose
names in English are Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.
According to Jewish tradition the Torah was revealed to Moses
in 1312 BCE at Mount Sinai.
Torah
Outside of its central significance in Judaism, the Torah is accepted by
Christianity as part of the Bible, comprising the first five books of the
Old Testament.
Torah
The word "Torah" in Hebrew "is derived from the root hifil which in the hifil
conjugation means "to teach" (cf. Lev. 10:11). The meaning of the word is
therefore "teaching," "doctrine," or "instruction.
Contents
• Bereshit (Genesis) begins with the story of creation (Genesis 1–3) and
Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, as well the account of their
descendants.
• Shemot (Exodus) is the story of Moses, who leads Israelites out of
Pharaoh's Egypt (Exodus 1–18) to take them to the promised land.
• Vayikra (Leviticus) begins with instructions to the Israelites on how to
use the Tabernacle, which they had just built (Leviticus 1–10).
• Bamidbar (Numbers) takes two censuses where the number of
Israelites are counted (Numbers 1–3, 26), and has many laws mixed
among the narratives.
• Devarim (Deuteronomy) consists primarily of a series of speeches by
Moses on the plains of Moab opposite Jericho exhorting Israel to obey
God and further instruction on His Laws.
The Talmud (Hebrew:  talmūd "instruction,
learning", from a root lmd "teach, study") is a central text
of Rabbinic Judaism, considered second to the Torah.
The Talmud has two components:
the Mishnah (Hebrew: , c. 200 CE),
the first written compendium of Judaism's Oral Law,
and the Gemara (c. 500 CE)

Talmud:
“Noah had told his sons and daughters-in-law that
they were not to have sexual relations during the
period of the flood but that Ham and his wife had
had sexual intercourse.”

Comment by William Haines
Suddenly I understood why Ham had felt ashamed
when he saw Noah lying naked in the tent.
I had always felt it odd that Ham should have been
judged for feeling that way and had never found the
explanation in the Divine Principle book
completely convincing.
One’s feeling are generally quite spontaneous and
uncontrollable. Who can stop themselves blushing?
Talmud:
“We don’t see things as they are; we see them as we are.”
— Rabbi Shemuel ben Nachmani,
as quoted in the Talmudic tractate Berakhot (55b.)
A man is shown in a dream only what is suggested
by his own thoughts…
The Hebrew term Midrash (Hebrew: ;
"story" from "to investigate" or "study") also
"Interpretation" or "Exposition" for preaching
of biblical interpretation.
Midrash fills in many gaps left in the biblical
narrative regarding events and personalities that
are only hinted at.

Answer: Miss Kim: He hints that there is some link
between the Jewish people and the Korean people,
but he will not say more.
We have many customs and traditions which are very
like Jewish customs.
There is a saying that Korea is the Israel of the East.

John the Baptist did not attend Jesus on the family level.
Therefore Jesus had to indemnify this on Johns behalf.
Likewise because the Christian cultural sphere did not
attend the returning Lord, I, in the position of John the Baptist,
had to establish the Unification Chursh (1954) in pace of
Christianity.
Hence at the time of the Second Advent,
the Unification Church is similar to Judaism on the
Global level.
The United States, which is in the position of
Israel, and the free world, should have become one with
the Unification Church. But they are opposing it, as is Korea
Until such unity transpires, the Unification Church has no
Nation and can only carry out the providense of spiritual
Salvation.

JEWS DO NOT ACCEPT JESUS AS THE MESSIAH
BECAUSE:
Jesus did not fulfill the messianic prophecies.
Jesus did not embody the personal qualifications
of the Messiah.
Biblical verses "referring" to Jesus are mistranslations.
Jewish belief is based on national revelation.
Christianity contradicts Jewish theology

Messiah, meaning "the anointed one," originally referred any individual
consecrated with sacred oil such as the king of Israel and the high priest. But it
was also applied to any person for whom God had a special purpose - Cyrus of
Persia, for example (Isa. 45:1). The Biblical prophets clearly envision a
messianic age come but not until the appearance of apocalyptic literature can
one find the idea that the Messiah will be a supernatural redeemer sent by God
to free Israel from bondage.
Jewish Messiah
Dr Young Oon Kim
There are therefore two distinct doctrines:
• that of a personal Messiah and
• that of a Messianic age.
On the one hand, the prophets looked to the end of this age after which the
people of Israel in their own land (and the world at large) will enjoy political
freedom, moral perfection and earthly bliss. On the other hand there was also
hope for a strong human redeemer who by his power and spirit would bring
complete political and spiritual redemption to Israel as well as material
blessings and religious enlightenment to all mankind.
Jewish Messiah
The Jew as opposed to the orthodox Christian is right to insist on
the humanity of the Messiah, according to Divine Principle.
The Messiah is not to be confused with the notion of a supernatural figure,
a co-eternal Son of God, an angel visitant or a god in human flesh. /DP

Jewish Kabbalah: 3, 7, 10, 12, 22
Kabbalah (Hebrew: , Qabbalah lit. "receiving"; Qabala) is
a discipline and school of thought concerned with the mystical
aspect of Rabbinic Judaism. It is a set of esoteric teachings meant to
explain the relationship between an eternal and mysterious Creator
and the mortal and finite universe (His creation)

199. The soul of the female comes from the Female, and the soul of
the male comes from the Male.
This is the reason why the Serpent followed Eve. He said, "Her soul
comes from the north, and I will therefore quickly seduce her.
And how did he seduce her? He had intercourse with her.
Jewish Mysticism
Kabbalah
He then went to the woman and said to her (Genesis 3:1), "Did
God also say, from all the trees of the garden [you shall not eat]?"
[He said, "I know that He did not forbid all the trees,] but I will seek
more - I will add in order that she should subtract.“
She replied, "He did not stop us from anything besides (Genesis
3:2), "the fruit of the tree that is in the middle of the garden. God
said, 'Do not eat from it and do not touch it, lest you die."‘
Jewish Mysticism
Kabbalah
She had added two things. She said, "from the fruit of the tree that
is in the middle of the garden," while [God] had only said (Genesis
2:17), "from the Tree of Knowledge."
She also said, "do not touch it lest you die,";
[while God had only spoken of eating it].
He then said to the woman, "See, I touched the tree and I did not
die. You can also touch it and not die.“
Jewish Mysticism
Kabbalah
The woman went and touched the tree. She saw the Angel of
Death approaching her and said, "Woe is to me. Now I will die
and the Blessed Holy One will make another woman and give
her to Adam. I will therefore cause him to eat with me. If we die,
we will both die, and if we live, we will both live."
She took the fruit of the tree and ate it, and she also gave some to
her husband. Their eyes were opened and their teeth were set on
edge. He said, "What is this that you have given me to eat? Just as
my teeth were set on edge, so will the teeth of all [future]
generations be set on edge.“

Kabbalah in the Theology of Rev. Moon
Yakov Leib March 30, 1999
Dear Chaverim,
I recently read a passage by Rev. Sun Myung Moon
about the birth of Cain and Abel that came leaping
out at me from the page: it was, almost word-for-word,
identical to an esoteric account of the two brothers found
in the Zohar, the Hadith, and certain Gnostic Christian
Gospels.
This account is so extremely bizzare, if you will,
so contrary to all exoteric interpretations of the Bible,
that it's unlikely the Zohar, Gnostic Christianity, the Hadith
and Rev. Moon all "simply had the same obvious idea."
Kabbalah
in the Theology of Rev. Moon
FOUR ESOTERIC ACCOUNTS OF CAIN AND ABEL
1. The Zohar Account:
"For two beings had intercourse with Eve, and she
conceived from both and bore two children.
Each followed one of the male parents, and their spirits
parted, one to this side and one to the other, and
similarly their characters.
On the side of Cain are all the haunts of the evil species
from which come evil spirits and demons and necromancers.
From the side of Abel comes a more merciful [Adam-like]
class -- yet not wholly beneficial -- good wine mixed with bad.
The right kind was not produced until Seth came, who is the
first ancestor of all the generations of the righteous."
(Bereshith 36b-37a)
Kabbalah

2. The Gnostic Christian Account:
"Then the [divine] authorities [i.e., Elohim]. . . sent seven
[fallen] archangels to see what happened. They came to
Adam. When they saw Eve speaking with him, they said
to one another . . . 'let us seize her and let us cast our
seed on her, so that . . .those whom she begets will
serve us.' [Eve] conceived . . . and she bore the rest of
the sons from the seven . . . angels." (On the Origins of
the World, II:5)

3. The Islamic Account:
Allah's Apostle said, "Tonight two (visitors) came to me (in
my dream) and took me to a town built with gold bricks
and silver bricks. There we met men who, half of their
bodies, look like the most-handsome human beings you
have ever seen, and the other half, the ugliest human
beings you have ever seen. Those two visitors said to
those men, 'Go and dip yourselves in that river. So they
dipped themselves therein and then came to us, their
ugliness having disappeared and they were in the most-
handsome shape. The visitors said, 'The first is the
Garden of Eden and that is your dwelling place.' Then
they added, 'As for those people who were half ugly and
half handsome, they were those who mixed good deeds
and bad deeds, but Allah forgave them." (Sahih Bukhari
Hadith: Volume 6, Book 60, Number 196)
Kabbalah

4. The Rev. Moon Unificationism Account:
"Lucifer dared to seduce Eve at the risk of his life . . .
and [they] had sexual intercourse with each other. . .
Eve joined with Adam after she had the illicit relationship
with the archangel [Satan] . . .
and [Satan's and Adam's] elements were then transmitted
to their descendants . . .
and mankind has multiplied sin to the present day,
thus perpetuating the lineage of Satan."
(Divine Principle I.2.2.2)
Thus, we see virtually the same mixed-paternal parentage
attributed to Cain and Abel in all four scriptural accounts.
Interestingly a modern sex symbol and superstar
Madonna is Kabbalist.
Coincidence or a spiritual inspired connection

In Yiddish the red string is called a roite bindele.
The red string itself is usually made from thin red wool
thread.
It is worn, or tied, as a type ofbracelet or "band"
on the left wrist of the wearer (the receiving side).
Genesis, chapter 38:27 - 29
When the time came for her to give birth,
there were twins in her womb! -
While she was in labor, one of them put out
his hand, and the midwife tied a crimson
thread on that hand, to signify:
This one came out first. -
But just then he drew back his hand,
and out came his brother; and she said,
"What a breach you have made for yourself!"
So he was named Perez.-
Afterward his brother came out, on whose hand
was the crimson thread; and he was name Zerah.

It is known as the "Tetragrammaton" - the Most Holy
Name of God - the proper pronunciation of which was
lost at the destruction of the Second Temple.

TF speaks on Abraham:
God's sorrowful heart to achieve the ideal of creation is imbedded in
all of the creation.
You should understand that God's providence has been to resolve the ‘
problem. Since Adam, what did all the prophets and sages, from
Noah, Abraham, Moses to Jesus testify to humans on the earth?
It was only to convey God's grief to the ignorant people.
/SMM 1957
TF speaks on Abraham:
Many appear these days who claim to be Peter, James, John or Andrew.
Furthermore, some claim to be Abraham or Noah.
It is reversing the course.
This is because neither Noah nor Abraham had an order of tribes
like the twelve disciples of Jesus.
/SMM 1959
TF speaks on Abraham:
What kind of strategy is needed to fulfill this dispensation?
God had to raise one person and sanctify him.
Because people on this earth cannot establish a relationship with
Heavenly Father as they are, He had to choose a people as He
persevered through dispensational history.
We know well the history of God's dispensation of the chosen people.
God chose Noah, Abraham and Moses for this purpose.
/SMM 1959
TF speaks on Abraham:
God created the angels as servants who were to assist in the creation
of the universe, and in His dispensation for it (Heb. 1:14).
The angels conveyed to Abraham the important words of blessing
from God (Gen. 18:10)
/SMM DP73
TF speaks on Abraham:
In the life of religious people, that which is more important than dreaming
of eternity is how they can work with Heaven in everyday life to eradicate
evil and become fighters for goodness.
We must know that, more than anything else, this is a crucial matter.
From this perspective, it was Adam and Eve's momentous failure that led
eventually to the resentment and anguish of thousands of years.
When God blessed Abraham, saying, "I will make your descendants as
numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore ....
Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies,"
the blessing was also bestowed in one second, in the blink of an eye.
When Abraham made an offering, he did not take some 10 years.
It was done in a day. The time it took him to cut the offering and place
it on the altar was less than an hour-but this single hour contained the
root of everything concerning historical life and death, curse and blessing.
If there was a mistake there, this root would have been destroyed.
/SMM CTA
TF speaks on Moses:
Moses brought the Israelites out of Egypt, the satanic world, with
miracles and signs, led them across the Red Sea, and had them
wander through the wilderness before entering the promised land
of Canaan.
This foreshadowed the course on which Jesus would one day lead
Christians, the Second Israel. With miracles and signs, Jesus would
bring Christians out of lives of sin and lead them safely across the
troubled sea of evil. He would take them through a desert devoid of
life-giving water before guiding them into the Garden of Eden of
God’s promise.
TF speaks on Moses:
Just as the national course to restore Canaan under the leadership
of Moses was prolonged as three courses because of the Israelites
faithlessness, the worldwide course to restore Canaan under the
leadership of Jesus had to be undertaken three times because of
the disbelief of John the Baptist and the Jewish people of that day.
To avoid redundancy, a close comparison between Moses course
and Jesus course will not be made here.
Still, the parallels will become plain when one compares this section
with the next.
/SMM DP96
TF speaks on Moses:
The Jewish people thought for 4,000 years that the laws given through
Moses and the covenant bestowed on Jacob could enable them to realize
their ideals and that they could replace the whole.
God, however, began from the lowest level and had been gradually
elevating them.
The Jewish people did not realize that after passing through the
Old Testament history of the formation stage, history was taking
the Principled course of the creation of the universe,
whereby it passed through the New Testament era of the growth stage
and proceeded forward until the completion stage.
TF speaks on Moses:
Consequently, the people of the time could not accept the words of life
of Jesus.
The people then could not recognize that they were new words higher
than those of the Old Testament and that they could forge a link with
higher, new values.
/SMM 1957
TF speaks on Jesus:
The words that Jesus spoke to the Jewish people then and all the
things he manifested were not based on his own will. It was the will
of Heaven.
Jesus was acting on behalf of the will of God's dispensation.
However, there arose a bitter conflict between Jesus and the people
within the realm of the fall, who should have received the will of
God through Jesus.
The Jewish people of the time did not realize that when the words of
God appear before a people in this fallen world, they can revolutionize
the people. If they appear before an individual, they can revolutionize
the individual. If they appear amid the world, then they can revolutionize
the world.
Furthermore, they did not realize that the words can newly revolutionize
heaven and earth.
The Jewish people thought for 4,000 years that the laws given through
Moses and the covenant bestowed on Jacob could enable them to realize
their ideals and that they could replace the whole.
/SMM 1957
Jesus had the same course.
The Jewish people had waited for 2,000 years
for the Messiah.
If they had known him, they would have followed him.
They would have come to him and become one with him.
They longed for the Messiah and worked in accordance
with the preparation for the Messiah.
In other words, the Israeli people should have been
severed from other people to stand in the same
position as the Messiah.
They had to form a nation which could receive God's love,
just as Jesus received God's love.
After forming this one sovereign nation with Jesus,
they would have sacrificed it for the entire world.
During that time the Roman Empire was declining.
If the Israeli nation and the Arab countries had become
one, they could have defeated the Roman Empire.
By subduing the Roman Empire, they could have
established God's will. But the Jewish people didn't
receive Jesus, so Jesus alone was determined to
sacrifice himself for the nation and the world.
Jesus had to leave his family, live in a solitary way,
and receive God's love. Finally he made himself a
sacrifice for other people, just as the unfallen brother
would have sacrificed himself for the salvation of the
fallen Adam and Eve.
All people were in the position of the fallen Adam and
Eve.
He died for them, he became the sacrifice.
He did not curse those who killed him.
He prayed and asked God to bless them.
Therefore, Jesus stood as a mediator between God and
the fallen Adam and Eve. He died as an unfallen Adam of
the world.
And he practiced the formula for the salvation of the
people of the entire world.
Therefore, he became the exemplary Adam.
Whoever followed him received salvation.
/SMM 22Dec 1971
The spirit world up until the present day has carried out
numerous spiritual works in mainstream religious history.
These mainstream works had to connect to a certain line
of relationship with the physical world. Spirit people
cannot come to earth and carry out their works as they
please.
They are blocked from doing that.
Unless a bridge is built by way of religion, only a few
special people can return to earth.
Factions were created within Judaism. When they come
down from the spirit world, the mainstream cannot come
in a straight line.
When different factions of Judaism each make their own
spiritual offerings, the mainstream moves back and forth
accordingly.
Therefore, for those coming down from the spirit world,
only the ones who are connected with the mainstream
can come down.
Otherwise, they cannot come and co-operate through the
process of returning resurrection.
Eventually, people on earth will also go to the spirit world.
Once in the spirit world, if they want to come down to the
next generation, they have to follow the same principle.
Yet, only a few special ones will be able to do so.

FAQ
UNIFICATIONISM AND JUDAISM:
"Judaism, Christianity and Unificationism are three
brother religions in the Providence of God
who must work together...." - Rev. Sun Myung Moon
STATEMENT ON UNIFICATIONISM AND JUDAISM
- in a full page declaration in in The New York Times,
- Sept. 24, 1976:
On the occasion of these Hanukkah Days,
-the Festival of Light and commemoration of your victory
over the forces of darkness and evil we wish to clarify our
genuine convictions and express our honest and sincere
feelings toward you, Jewish brethren.
Towards this end and purpose we publish herewith and
bring to your attention the document signed on
August 10, 1976.
In the course of their history the people of Israel and
Korea have experienced suffering and persecutions
by neighbouring enemies and expanding imperialistic powers.
As a son of the Korean people, living in this blessed by
God land of America, I extend to you, Jewish Brethren,
my hand of friendship and wish to state the principles
which are guiding the activities of our Movement,
especially those regarding the problems and difficulties
confronting the Jews of the World and Israel at this crucial
juncture of our common human history.
1. The Unification Movement categorically condemns
anti- Semitism, the most hideous, abject and cruel form
of hatred.
We regard the murder of six million Jews in Europe the
result of political short-sightedness and lack of moral
responsibility on the part of Germany's political and
religious leaders, and statesmen from among other
nations, in the period between the two world wars.
cont…
1. Ignoring the basic teachings of the Scriptures,
they acted too late to block Hitler's ascent to power,
they postponed the action for his downfall, and they
did nothing to rescue the victims who were the captives
of his satanic plans and designs.
Only a unified front of all Christian and Jewish forces,
inspired by the principles of the Divine Commandments
and guided by the concept of human brotherhood,
would have been able to prevent the Holocaust, the
implementation of the "Final Solution," -- a Cain-inspired
action, carried out by the Nazis between 1933 and 1945.
2. The Unification Movement recognizes the divine and
natural right of the Jewish people to physical survival
and preservation of its specific religious traditions,
the marks of its distinctive historical entity.
These fundamental human rights must be secured
everywhere, especially for Jews living in the lands of
the Diaspora.
3. The Unification Movement regards the Land of Israel
as a haven for the Holocaust survivors and sanctuary
for all those individual Jews who are trying to escape
physical persecution and religious, racial or national
oppression. The demand for free emigration—
the undeniable and inalienable right of every human
being--must become the stated policy of the United States
in her dealings with foreign countries, and particularly
in her relations with the Soviet Union.
4. The Unification Movement, in its efforts to resolve
conflicts among nations and harmonize antagonistic
social, economic and political interests, will work
toward the creation of political conditions necessary
for an acceptable accommodation between the Arabs
and Jews, and to achieve a genuine and lasting peace
in the Middle East, one of the most important corners
of the world.
5. The Unification Movement believes that religious
and free people throughout the world must cooperate
in building a spiritual and organizational unity among
nations which will be capable to contain Soviet
imperialism, which continues to inflict hardship and
suffering upon its own people and is spreading the
poison of hatred and dissension among nations of
the world, with the ultimate purpose of political global
subjugation and enslavement.
6. The Unification Movement is grateful to God, to His
true and righteous prophets and saints of our common
spiritual tradition who prepared the foundations on
which we stand and organize our struggle.
We consider ourselves to be the younger brother of
our Jewish and Christian brethren, all of whom are
children of our Heavenly Father. We regard it as our
duty to respect and serve the elder sons of our Father,
and it is our mission to serve Judaism and Christianity
by promoting Love and Unity among all the children
of God.
7. The Unification Movement teaches the Principle and
strives toward the establishment of a Unified World
Family of Nations guided by the concepts of Unity
and Brotherhood expressed in the divine command-
ments, the foundations of our common spiritual heritage.
It is our conviction that we must unite in order to attain
this divine and sublime historical objective.
Reverend Sun Myung Moon

Hanukkah, Kislev 5737
On September 18, 1976, at the God Bless America
Festival at the Washington Monument, in the presence
of an estimated 300,000 people,
Reverend Moon stated: "[Judaism, Christianity and
the Unification Movement] are three brothers in the
Providence of God.
Then, Israel, the United States and Korea, the nations
where these three religions are based must also be brothers….
Therefore, these three brother nations must join hands in a
unified effort to restore the United Nations to its original
purpose.“

The Jewish-Palestine conflict in light of DP:
As discussed in the Principle, Ishmael, the elder of
Abraham's two sons, could not receive God's blessing
when Abrahams position a father of faith was passed
to Isaac, the second son.
Abraham ha made a mistake in the sacrifice of birds and
animals but through his determination to restore that
mistake he offered his son as sacrifice.
In the original dispensation, Abraham was to lay a
foundation of faith after which Ishmael and Isaac would
lay a foundation of substance.
God's blessing would then have been given to Isaac
and Ishmael.
Because Ishmael was not responsible for losing his
Providential position in Abraham's family, and the
blessing that came with it, God's promise to bless
him became a commitment to be fulfilled in time.
Ishmael, like Jakob, became the father of the twelve
sons who became the patriarchs of 12 tribes.
These 12 tribes, cousins to the 12 tribes of Israel,
were progenitors of the Arabs.
The Ishmaelites inherited the burden of a blessing denied,
which created a historical base for resentment towards
the Israelites.

  • 24. Messiah, meaning "the anointed one," originally referred any individual consecrated with sacred oil such as the king of Israel and the high priest. But it was also applied to any person for whom God had a special purpose - Cyrus of Persia, for example (Isa. 45:1). The Biblical prophets clearly envision a messianic age come but not until the appearance of apocalyptic literature can one find the idea that the Messiah will be a supernatural redeemer sent by God to free Israel from bondage. Jewish Messiah Dr Young Oon Kim
  • 25. There are therefore two distinct doctrines: • that of a personal Messiah and • that of a Messianic age. On the one hand, the prophets looked to the end of this age after which the people of Israel in their own land (and the world at large) will enjoy political freedom, moral perfection and earthly bliss. On the other hand there was also hope for a strong human redeemer who by his power and spirit would bring complete political and spiritual redemption to Israel as well as material blessings and religious enlightenment to all mankind. • 26. The Jew as opposed to the orthodox Christian is right to insist on the humanity of the Messiah, according to Divine Principle. The Messiah is not to be confused with the notion of a supernatural figure, a co-eternal Son of God, an angel visitant or a god in human flesh. /DP Jewish Messiah

  • 35. Kabbalah in the Theology of Rev. Moon Yakov Leib March 30, 1999 Dear Chaverim, I recently read a passage by Rev. Sun Myung Moon about the birth of Cain and Abel that came leaping out at me from the page: it was, almost word-for-word, identical to an esoteric account of the two brothers found in the Zohar, the Hadith, and certain Gnostic Christian Gospels. This account is so extremely bizzare, if you will, so contrary to all exoteric interpretations of the Bible, that it's unlikely the Zohar, Gnostic Christianity, the Hadith and Rev. Moon all "simply had the same obvious idea."
  • 36. Kabbalah in the Theology of Rev. Moon FOUR ESOTERIC ACCOUNTS OF CAIN AND ABEL 1. The Zohar Account: "For two beings had intercourse with Eve, and she conceived from both and bore two children. Each followed one of the male parents, and their spirits parted, one to this side and one to the other, and similarly their characters. On the side of Cain are all the haunts of the evil species from which come evil spirits and demons and necromancers. From the side of Abel comes a more merciful [Adam-like] class -- yet not wholly beneficial -- good wine mixed with bad. The right kind was not produced until Seth came, who is the first ancestor of all the generations of the righteous." (Bereshith 36b-37a)
  • 37. Kabbalah in the Theology of Rev. Moon 2. The Gnostic Christian Account: "Then the [divine] authorities [i.e., Elohim]. . . sent seven [fallen] archangels to see what happened. They came to Adam. When they saw Eve speaking with him, they said to one another . . . 'let us seize her and let us cast our seed on her, so that . . .those whom she begets will serve us.' [Eve] conceived . . . and she bore the rest of the sons from the seven . . . angels." (On the Origins of the World, II:5)
  • 38. Kabbalah in the Theology of Rev. Moon 3. The Islamic Account: Allah's Apostle said, "Tonight two (visitors) came to me (in my dream) and took me to a town built with gold bricks and silver bricks. There we met men who, half of their bodies, look like the most-handsome human beings you have ever seen, and the other half, the ugliest human beings you have ever seen. Those two visitors said to those men, 'Go and dip yourselves in that river. So they dipped themselves therein and then came to us, their ugliness having disappeared and they were in the most- handsome shape. The visitors said, 'The first is the Garden of Eden and that is your dwelling place.' Then they added, 'As for those people who were half ugly and half handsome, they were those who mixed good deeds and bad deeds, but Allah forgave them." (Sahih Bukhari Hadith: Volume 6, Book 60, Number 196)
  • 39. Kabbalah in the Theology of Rev. Moon 4. The Rev. Moon Unificationism Account: "Lucifer dared to seduce Eve at the risk of his life . . . and [they] had sexual intercourse with each other. . . Eve joined with Adam after she had the illicit relationship with the archangel [Satan] . . . and [Satan's and Adam's] elements were then transmitted to their descendants . . . and mankind has multiplied sin to the present day, thus perpetuating the lineage of Satan." (Divine Principle I.2.2.2) Thus, we see virtually the same mixed-paternal parentage attributed to Cain and Abel in all four scriptural accounts.

  • 64. TF speaks on Abraham: What kind of strategy is needed to fulfill this dispensation? God had to raise one person and sanctify him. Because people on this earth cannot establish a relationship with Heavenly Father as they are, He had to choose a people as He persevered through dispensational history. We know well the history of God's dispensation of the chosen people. God chose Noah, Abraham and Moses for this purpose. /SMM 1959

  • 66. TF speaks on Abraham: In the life of religious people, that which is more important than dreaming of eternity is how they can work with Heaven in everyday life to eradicate evil and become fighters for goodness. We must know that, more than anything else, this is a crucial matter. From this perspective, it was Adam and Eve's momentous failure that led eventually to the resentment and anguish of thousands of years.
  • 67. When God blessed Abraham, saying, "I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore .... Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies," the blessing was also bestowed in one second, in the blink of an eye. When Abraham made an offering, he did not take some 10 years. It was done in a day. The time it took him to cut the offering and place it on the altar was less than an hour-but this single hour contained the root of everything concerning historical life and death, curse and blessing. If there was a mistake there, this root would have been destroyed. /SMM CTA
  • 68. TF speaks on Moses: Moses brought the Israelites out of Egypt, the satanic world, with miracles and signs, led them across the Red Sea, and had them wander through the wilderness before entering the promised land of Canaan. This foreshadowed the course on which Jesus would one day lead Christians, the Second Israel. With miracles and signs, Jesus would bring Christians out of lives of sin and lead them safely across the troubled sea of evil. He would take them through a desert devoid of life-giving water before guiding them into the Garden of Eden of God’s promise.
  • 69. TF speaks on Moses: Just as the national course to restore Canaan under the leadership of Moses was prolonged as three courses because of the Israelites faithlessness, the worldwide course to restore Canaan under the leadership of Jesus had to be undertaken three times because of the disbelief of John the Baptist and the Jewish people of that day. To avoid redundancy, a close comparison between Moses course and Jesus course will not be made here. Still, the parallels will become plain when one compares this section with the next. /SMM DP96
  • 70. TF speaks on Moses: The Jewish people thought for 4,000 years that the laws given through Moses and the covenant bestowed on Jacob could enable them to realize their ideals and that they could replace the whole. God, however, began from the lowest level and had been gradually elevating them. The Jewish people did not realize that after passing through the Old Testament history of the formation stage, history was taking the Principled course of the creation of the universe, whereby it passed through the New Testament era of the growth stage and proceeded forward until the completion stage.
  • 71. TF speaks on Moses: Consequently, the people of the time could not accept the words of life of Jesus. The people then could not recognize that they were new words higher than those of the Old Testament and that they could forge a link with higher, new values. /SMM 1957
  • 72. TF speaks on Jesus: The words that Jesus spoke to the Jewish people then and all the things he manifested were not based on his own will. It was the will of Heaven. Jesus was acting on behalf of the will of God's dispensation. However, there arose a bitter conflict between Jesus and the people within the realm of the fall, who should have received the will of God through Jesus.
  • 73. The Jewish people of the time did not realize that when the words of God appear before a people in this fallen world, they can revolutionize the people. If they appear before an individual, they can revolutionize the individual. If they appear amid the world, then they can revolutionize the world. Furthermore, they did not realize that the words can newly revolutionize heaven and earth. The Jewish people thought for 4,000 years that the laws given through Moses and the covenant bestowed on Jacob could enable them to realize their ideals and that they could replace the whole. /SMM 1957
  • 74. Jesus had the same course. The Jewish people had waited for 2,000 years for the Messiah. If they had known him, they would have followed him. They would have come to him and become one with him. They longed for the Messiah and worked in accordance with the preparation for the Messiah. In other words, the Israeli people should have been severed from other people to stand in the same position as the Messiah.
  • 75. They had to form a nation which could receive God's love, just as Jesus received God's love. After forming this one sovereign nation with Jesus, they would have sacrificed it for the entire world. During that time the Roman Empire was declining. If the Israeli nation and the Arab countries had become one, they could have defeated the Roman Empire. By subduing the Roman Empire, they could have established God's will. But the Jewish people didn't receive Jesus, so Jesus alone was determined to sacrifice himself for the nation and the world.
  • 76. Jesus had to leave his family, live in a solitary way, and receive God's love. Finally he made himself a sacrifice for other people, just as the unfallen brother would have sacrificed himself for the salvation of the fallen Adam and Eve. All people were in the position of the fallen Adam and Eve. He died for them, he became the sacrifice. He did not curse those who killed him. He prayed and asked God to bless them.
  • 77. Therefore, Jesus stood as a mediator between God and the fallen Adam and Eve. He died as an unfallen Adam of the world. And he practiced the formula for the salvation of the people of the entire world. Therefore, he became the exemplary Adam. Whoever followed him received salvation. /SMM 22Dec 1971
  • 78. The spirit world up until the present day has carried out numerous spiritual works in mainstream religious history. These mainstream works had to connect to a certain line of relationship with the physical world. Spirit people cannot come to earth and carry out their works as they please. They are blocked from doing that.
  • 79. Unless a bridge is built by way of religion, only a few special people can return to earth. Factions were created within Judaism. When they come down from the spirit world, the mainstream cannot come in a straight line. When different factions of Judaism each make their own spiritual offerings, the mainstream moves back and forth accordingly. Therefore, for those coming down from the spirit world, only the ones who are connected with the mainstream can come down.
  • 80. Otherwise, they cannot come and co-operate through the process of returning resurrection. Eventually, people on earth will also go to the spirit world. Once in the spirit world, if they want to come down to the next generation, they have to follow the same principle. Yet, only a few special ones will be able to do so. /SMM 1978.11.19

Ignoring the basic teachings of the Scriptures, they acted too late to block Hitler's ascent to power, they postponed the action for his downfall, and they did nothing to rescue the victims who were the captives of his satanic plans and designs. • 87. 2. The Unification Movement regards the Land of Israel as a haven for the Holocaust survivors and sanctuary for all those individual Jews who are trying to escape physical persecution and religious, racial or national oppression. The demand for free emigration— the undeniable and inalienable right of every human being--must become the stated policy of the United States in her dealings with foreign countries, and particularly in her relations with the Soviet Union.
  • 89. 4. The Unification Movement, in its efforts to resolve conflicts among nations and harmonize antagonistic social, economic and political interests, will work toward the creation of political conditions necessary for an acceptable accommodation between the Arabs and Jews, and to achieve a genuine and lasting peace in the Middle East, one of the most important corners of the world.
  • 90. 5. The Unification Movement believes that religious and free people throughout the world must cooperate in building a spiritual and organizational unity among nations which will be capable to contain Soviet imperialism, which continues to inflict hardship and suffering upon its own people and is spreading the poison of hatred and dissension among nations of the world, with the ultimate purpose of political global subjugation and enslavement.
  • 91. 6. The Unification Movement is grateful to God, to His true and righteous prophets and saints of our common spiritual tradition who prepared the foundations on which we stand and organize our struggle. We consider ourselves to be the younger brother of our Jewish and Christian brethren, all of whom are children of our Heavenly Father. We regard it as our duty to respect and serve the elder sons of our Father, and it is our mission to serve Judaism and Christianity by promoting Love and Unity among all the children of God.
  • 92. 7. Therefore, these three brother nations must join hands in a unified effort to restore the United Nations to its original purpose.“ end
  • 94. The Jewish-Palestine conflict in light of DP: As discussed in the Principle, Ishmael, the elder of Abraham's two sons, could not receive God's blessing when Abrahams position a father of faith was passed to Isaac, the second son. Abraham ha made a mistake in the sacrifice of birds and animals but through his determination to restore that mistake he offered his son as sacrifice.
  • 95. In the original dispensation, Abraham was to lay a foundation of faith after which Ishmael and Isaac would lay a foundation of substance. God's blessing would then have been given to Isaac and Ishmael. Because Ishmael was not responsible for losing his Providential position in Abraham's family, and the blessing that came with it, God's promise to bless him became a commitment to be fulfilled in time.
  • 96. Ishmael, like Jakob, became the father of the twelve sons who became the patriarchs of 12 tribes. These 12 tribes, cousins to the 12 tribes of Israel, were progenitors of the Arabs. The Ishmaelites inherited the burden of a blessing denied, which created a historical base for resentment towards the Israelites.

  9. Judaism's Bible or Tanakh is made up of the Law (Torah), the Prophets (Nebi'im), and the Writings (Ketuvim); its books were written over a period of more than thirteen hundred years of Jewish history, from the time of Moses until several centuries before the common era. The center of this scripture is the Torah, the Five Books of Moses. The book of Genesis contains stories of creation, the Fall of Man, and the lives of the patriarchs Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph. Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy recount the Jews' liberation from slavery in Egypt and the revealing of the Law to Moses on Mount Sinai. The Prophets include the books of Joshua, Judges, Samuel, and Kings recounting the history of Israel in the days when it was guided by its prophets, and Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Amos, Hosea, Micah, Habakkuk, Jonah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi, etc., which record the words of individual prophets. Among the Writings are the book of Psalms containing prayers and hymns; Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Job containing wise sayings, discourses on wisdom, and meditations on the human condition; Lamentations mourning the destruction of the Temple; Song of Songs, where love poetry has long been interpreted as describing the mystical relationship between God and Israel or God and man; and Daniel with its stories of faith in the midst of persecution. In addition to the Tanakh, a tradition of Oral Torah, passed down to the rabbis of the first several centuries of the common era and codified in the Talmud, which is constituted by the Mishnah and the Gemara, is authoritative for the observant Jew. One may regard the role of Talmud and Midrash--early rabbinic interpretation of scripture--as providing the interpretative perspective for a proper understanding of the Bible. While much of the Talmud and Midrash is devoted to discussions and codifications of law, they also contain passages of universal spiritual and ethical wisdom. The best known collection of the latter is a small tractate of the Mishnah called the Abot or Sayings of the Fathers.[3] Beyond the Talmud and Midrash, Jewish tradition also hallows the books of statutory prayers. The mystical treatise called the Zohar and several other works together constitute the Kabbalah or mystical tradition which has canonical status for many Jews. A number of theological works, notably The Guide for the Perplexed by Moses Maimonides (1135-1204) and Shulhan Arukh by Joseph Caro (16th century) are also held in the highest regard. /World Scripture
  10. Thank you Dominic Zoehrer who commented on SlideShare presentation, DP & Judaism v1.6. "Very inspirational, Bengt! What I am wondering is, if Sun Myung Moon ever had contact with kabbalist numerology or if he received his vast numerological wisdom through revelation... Also the point about Koreans being descendants of one of the lost tribes of Israel requires further research. I've once heard that Dangun (founder of Korea) was a descendant of the tribe of Dan, however Dangun lived 2300 BC which was long before the dispersion of the Northern Kingdom around 930 BC. But a link between Israel and Korea is not impossible. After taking into consideration that Abraham the great-grandfather of the tribal patriarchs lived around 1800 BC, perhaps one would be tempted to date the birth of mythical Dangun a bit later... 11. The Ten Commandments of Hinduism according to sage Patanjali (PYS 2.30-2.32), are: (1) Nonviolence, (2) Truthfulness, (3) Non-stealing, (4) Celibacy or sense control, (5) Non-greed, (6) Purity of thought, word, and deed, (7) Contentment, (8) Austerity or renunciation, (9) Study of scriptures, and (10) Surrendering to God with faithful loving devotion.Compare these with the ten basic teachings of the Bible: (1) Thou shall not kill, (2) Do not lie, (3) Do not steal, (4) Do not commit adultery, (5) Do not covet, (6) Do not divorce your wife, (7) Do for others what you want them to do for you, (8) If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn the other cheek, (9) Love your neighbor as yourself, and (10) Love the Lord with all thy heart. The Eightfold Noble Path of Buddhism are: Right view, right thought, right speech, right deeds, right livelihood, right effort, right resolve, and right meditation. Abstinence from all evil, performance of good acts, and purification of the mind is the doctrine of Buddha. The five cardinal principles of Islam are: (1) Faith in God, His message, and His messengers; (2) Meditation and prayer on the glory, greatness, and the message of God for spiritual growth; (3) Helping others by giving charity; (4) Austerity for self-purification by fasting in the month of Ramadan; and (5) Pilgrimage to the Holy places. All Great Masters have given us Truth revealed by the Supreme. Krishna taught us to feel spiritual oneness by seeing divinity in each and everyone. Buddha taught us to purify ourselves and have compassion for all creatures. Christ asked us to love all beings as we love ourselves. Muhammad taught us to submit to the will of God and act like His instruments. In some religions, however, only the members of one’s own sect are considered favorites of God, and others are considered infidels. The Vedas teach not only mere religious tolerance but the acceptance of all other religions and prophets as analogous to one’s own. The Vedas say: Let noble thoughts come to us from everywhere (RV 1.89.01). Different religious teachings are but different expressions of the Supreme. They are to be respected, not regarded as instruments of division. The dignity and welfare of humanity lie in the unity of races and religion (Swami Harihar). True knowledge of religion breaks down all barriers, including the barriers between faiths (Gandhi). Any religion that creates walls of conflict and hatred among people in the name of God is not a religion, but selfish politics in disguise. We have no right to criticize any religion, sect, or cult in any way. Differences in human interpretation of scriptures ¾ the transcendent voice ¾ are due to taking the literal meaning, prejudice, ignorance, taking lines out of context, as well as distortion, misinterpretation, and interpolation with personal selfish motives. Profound Gratitude to http://www.gita-society.com/section2/2_chap_16.htm

  19. David Beckham was wearing a red Kabbalah band around his wrist the pop star Britney Spears strips with one too.  Regarding the red string, the custom is to tie a long red thread around the burial site of Rachel, the wife of Jacob. Rachel selflessly agreed that her sister marry Jacob first to spare Leah shame and embarrassment. Later, Rachel willingly returned her soul to God on the lonely way to Beit Lechem, in order to pray there for the desperate Jews that would pass by on their way to exile and captivity. Often, one acquires the red string when giving charity. Perhaps for these reasons the red thread is considered a protective segula. It recalls the great merit of our matriarch Rachel, reminding us to emulate her modest ways of consideration, compassion, and selflessness for the benefit of others, while simultaneously giving charity to the poor and needy. It follows that this internal reflection that inspires good deeds, more than the string itself, would protect one from evil and harm. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_string_(Kabbalah)
